Combining ptosis and upper bleph procedures, is this an option? (photos)

The ptosis is definitely the main issue to correct here. You have a little extra skin that could benefit from a blepharoplasty if this is something that bothers you - this is something that will likely change in the future as your skin ages and becomes less elastic and more stretchy. Ask your surgeon whether they plan on removing some skin during the ptosis procedure.

Combining ptosis with an upper blepharoplasty is absolutely an option and easily performed as the incision is often the same. Usually they are combined in older individuals with excess skin, it would be unusual to perform a blepharoplasty in a young patient without dermatochalasis. The exception to this is if your surgeon feels that repairing your ptosis will leave you with excess upper lid skin (the so called Roman shade phenomenon). In that instance s/he may decide to remove extra skin for symmetry. Based on your photos, however, it appears the asymmetry is mostly related to ptosis and not excess skin.

This depends very much on the type of procedure that is done to raise the drooping eyelid and the surgical approach that the specialist has for cosmetic surgery. Not all specialists like to combine functional and cosmetic surgery because the results of one surgery are tied to the other procedure. In many cases it is better to have both specialists agree on whether both procedures can be performed. Personally, functional surgery should go on one side and cosmetic surgery at another time, with the exception of septo - rhinoplasty. It should be noted that if the ptosis is genetic and there is no ocular anomaly, the surgery could be combined because what would be done is a lifting or Pexia of the supinator of the eyebrow and blepharoplasty.
