I am skinny with very big belly. Should I do liposuction?? And if yes, is tummy tuck needed too ?? And will I gain weight in different areas if I do intermittent fasting?? But my metabolism is very slow
Answer: Liposuction Dear Hyiysme, it is hard to tell for sure without an examination. Based on your photo, it looks like you don't have much extra fat so muscle separation might be the issue. If you are considering surgery, I would suggest you consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination, you will get more information and recommendations. Answer: Would liposuction make my abdominal area appear more proportionate to my body? Thanks so much for your inquire, Liposuction can help improve the proportion and contour of your abdominal area, making it more harmonious with the rest of your body. This procedure targets excess fat deposits in the abdomen, which can help create a flatter and more defined appearance Also, based on your pictures, to achieve a flatter, more toned, and contoured abdominal area, a tummy tuck may be necessary to address all aspects, including excess skin, fat, and muscle separation. A consultation with a board-certified plastic surgeon is crucial. They can assess your abdominal area, skin quality, muscle condition, and overall body contour to determine whether a tummy tuck and liposuction is appropriate. Sincerely, Dr. Emmanuel Mallol

Answer: Tummy tuck An exam is needed to know for sure but it appears that your stomach contour is largely influenced by muscle wall laxity. That would be addressed along with excess skin and subcutaneous fat through a tummy tuck. Liposuction alone would not address the abdominal wall. See a board certified plastic surgeon near you for a consultation to learn more.

Answer: Abdomen An examination is needed to see if you have external fat or internal or neither, If you have excess fat on top of your muscles, then liposuction can help. If you have a prominent abdomen with little external fat, then EMSculpt may help.

Answer: Tummy tuck with mesh No, liposuction will not solve your problem. Your problem is you have a weak abdominal wall. There are a couple of components to the abdominal wall. The skin is one to provide strength and the muscle is the other. Physical fitness will increase your abdominal tone. However, most likely, your fascia which is the support layer has been damaged, due to pregnancies or weight gain. If you are not planning future pregnancies, I recommend abdominoplasty with mesh reinforcement. The mesh creates a more hourglass figure by compressing the abdominal wall resulting in early satiety and helps maintain a reduced weight. Best Wishes, Gary Horndeski, M.D.
