A small amount of hyaluronic acid filler in the groove can be helpful or harmful depending on the experience of the injector and the choice of filler. Restylane is the best product but its placement is fussy. Don’t get runny fillers. Less is more. Don’t get grafted fat. Less is more.

There is no easy way to diagnose the difference between the conditions you’ve included in. Most likely the underlying baseline issue has to do with the shape of your facial and skeletal structure.
