I had Juvederm in my lips and I am unhappy with the results. My goal was for the outer corners of my lips to be more turned outward. Also, I feel as though there is filler above my upper lip and out to the sides from the corners of my mouth. My provider ensures me that they did not inject there so there could not be filler there. I've had 3 syringes injected and feel like that it should not have taken that much product. Is this poor technique? Do I need to have the filler dissolved?

Answer: Lip filler Based on your photos it does appear too much filler was used and placement was an issue. It may be best to have the filler dissolved. I encourage you to go slowly with filler to build up to a look you are wanting. Always see an experienced injector for treatment.

Answer: Hyaluronidase Works Well For Dissolving Unwanted HA Filler The simple answer to the question of whether HA filler should be dissolved is whether or not the result of the treatment is desirable. Clearly, when too much has been given and/or inappropriate placement has caused unwanted enlargement in conspicuous areas, hyaluronidase dissolution is reasonable to consider. In my experience of well over three decades injecting these kinds of fillers, approximately one syringe is usually more than adequate to straighten downturned angles of the mouth. You would be wise to make sure to consult a board certified cosmetic dermatologist injector. Best of luck.
