I’m beyond grateful for Dr. Rowin and the incredible staff! Their care, professionalism, and expertise made all the difference. My results exceeded expectations—Dr. Rowin is the only plastic surgeon I’ll ever trust!
Dr. Rowan did my surgery in October of 2024. From the moment of my consult until my last appointment, he has been the most professional, caring, warmest, knowledgeable and honest doctor I’ve ever met! He will always communicate what is best even if the best is not getting something you thought you needed! He is the very best and I am honored to have him as my plastic surgeon! He is now the only one I will go to for now! I look forward to my next procedure and Dr. Rowan thank you for being the best there is! Till next time! Nik P.
I’ve wanted a BA since I was 16 years old. I’ve always been pretty small, about a 34B or a very small 32 C on a good day. My stats: 5’6 135 lbs 31 years old No kids I originally was set on 350 cc moderate plus profile (I ended up going with Natrelle implants which they use a different naming system for their profiles, so it would be just moderate people with them) but about 2 weeks leading up to my surgery date I was really considering wanting High Profile. So Dr. Rowin and his nurse Reba allowed me to come back for one last consult before my surgery date to re-measure and discuss HP implant options. Dr. Rowin follows a very specific chart to say what cc with work best with my breast diameter. I landed between a 12-13 diameter so if I went HP he would want me to be 12 diameter with 365 ccs which was happy with as 15 more ccs is virtually no difference than 350. So that was what we decided on! Pics of what I was working with pre-op Updated on 11 Jul 2024: Feeling nervous but excited at the same time. But I know I am in great hands. Dr. Rowin came and measure and marked me up in prep for surgery. I had to take 2 celebrex and 1 Gabapentin the night before and same regimen morning of. Washed with antibacterial soap night before and morning of as well. Can’t wait to have the new girls installed! Updated on 11 Jul 2024: Waking up from surgery was a breeze. I was under and in the recovery room in what felt like no time at all! I had minor soreness and tightening right after. As just groggy and a little loopy but was feeling great. No post-anesthesia nausea thank goodness! They pushed something extra in the anesthesia to help with that and gave me a patch behind my ear to help too. Night one I just took my meds as directed and relaxed! Feeling good so far, and maybe I’m crazy but I feel like my girl are already looking amazing despite being so high and swollen! Updated on 11 Jul 2024: Feeling great still, today def more sore so been icing and took one Valium this morning to have relax the muscles. But have been able to be up and wash my face and brush my teeth. I did have a little bit of face and cheek flushing and redness. I call the office and they said totally normal response to the anesthesia, a not to worry but if it gets worse or has a fever associated with in, then to call again. But I think it’s already subsided. I can’t wait for the 1st postoperative follow up meeting next week! Updated on 11 Jul 2024: Updated on 12 Jul 2024: Still feeling great! My biggest complaint is how bloated I am from other being able to really go #2 that much, I did go a little bit this morning but still really want to empty out to feel better. Other than that, no breast pain or incision pain at all. Been very on top of my meds, taking an antibiotic, Gabapentin, and Celebrex round the clock. Took my 1st shower today, my husband had to help me wash my hair. Boy did taking this surgical bra off for the first time feel amazing!! And I am feeling really positive about my results thus far, i can tell once they drop and fluff they’re going to look really amazing! Updated on 12 Jul 2024: Updated on 13 Jul 2024: Feeling good today, just still overall really sore and tight in my chest. Honestly, the most uncomfortable part is this surgical bra, it is so tight and uncomfortable it killing me. My doctor did say if it’s unbearably uncomfortable I could take it off. He preferred it be on 24/7 for the first week, but I couldn’t take it anymore. I currently have a softer zip up front bra and it like a cold compared to the surgical bra lol. I figured I’d wear this one during the day and put my surgical bra back on at night to sleep in. They’re already dropping more and more and taking shape! Still feeling very bloated. Updated on 14 Jul 2024: Day 4, and morning boob wasn’t as bad today! I’m totally off narcotics. Taking Tylenol as needed, and a Valium at night before bed to help with tightness. I switched to a softer zip up bra I got off Amazon versus my surgical bra, I hope that was right move, my surgeon did say if I found the surgical bra to be very uncomfortable I could not wear it. But I still want the support and compression during the first weeks. I have my first follow up at the 1 week mark I’ll give my next date then! Some of the bloat has subsided which has been such a relief. Updated on 14 Jul 2024: Updated on 17 Jul 2024: Had my 1 week post in check in with Dr. Rowin, and everything is thing is looking amazing!!! He said they’re falling into the pocket perfectly, and will soften and drop as time goes on. I go back in 2 weeks to get the strips taken off, for now still in the surgical bra. Down to only taking Tylenol and gabapentin. I love them so much! Updated on 17 Jul 2024: Updated on 23 Jul 2024: Looking better every day! They’re still very firm, but are dropping. I go Monday to get my strips off and can start massaging and scar treatment. I’m loving them so much. I’ve stopped taking all meds as of last week. Updated on 30 Jul 2024: Got to see my scars finally for 1st and they’re looking great! I’ve been told to massage the scars twice a day with some aquaphor or Vaseline. And use this silicone stick on them twice a Day as well. Updated on 5 Aug 2024: Went and got sized for a bra this weekend at VS, they said I was a 34D or DD. I tried on both but the 34D fit a little bit better so finally able to wear a wireless bra that’s not surgical! Which feels amazing. Updated on 13 Sep 2024: Doing great and they look amazing! I have been cleared to wear underwire bras, and go back to exercise as normal! My right side needs a little more time to drop as much as my left but even if they stayed the exact same as right now forever I’d be so happy! I love them so much!
Dr Rowan saved me! I was pretty jacked up from another Dr. He gave me a back lift in February of 2023 and a boob lift April of 2024. I feel like a new woman! I’m not sure if I would’ve ever gained confidence back without him.
by far. The best experience I have ever had with a doctor across-the-board. Dr. Rowin is the most personable human I have ever met since moving to South Carolina. The team in his office is phenomenal as well. I definitely recommend to everyone looking for any kind of surgery.
Every bit of my experience with Dr. Rowin and his team has exceeded my expectations. My first consultation I went in expecting to be pushed into everything I thought I needed right then and there (breast reduction, tummy tuck, liposuction, etc), but I was pleasantly surprised to find that was not the case for this office. Dr. Rowin was informative, kind, and compassionate in explaining to me that I was on the right track in my weight loss goals—and that I would actually see the best results once I had reached them. He was right! The encouragement I received from him during that visit kickstarted the extra fire I needed to meet my goals. Fast forward 7 months—we met again for a surgery discussion and I was down 30lb. We reviewed my photos from my first consult and I was blown away—he was right all along! We made the smartest and safest treatment plan for ME—and when I say it was a home run—LET ME TELL YOU! Dr. Rowin has the ability to make you feel like you are his only patient each and every time you see him. I knew I was in the very best hands with him, and his staff is equally as fabulous. You can tell they all put the patient experience at the top of the list and do everything they can to make each and every person that walks through the door feel as comfortable as possible. Call the office, book the consult, you’ll see what I mean.
From my consultation to my healing six months post-op, my experience with Dr. Rowin and Plastic Surgery of the Carolinas has been superb. I traveled from NC down to Mt. Pleasant in October to have a consultation done and it was incredible. Dr. Rowin listened to me patiently, took as much time as needed to answer all my questions, and calmed all of my nerves. I knew immediately that he would be the surgeon for me. He is meticulous and truly an artist when it comes to his work, but he's also frank and honest when it comes to setting expectations. After doing over a year's worth of research for my reduction, I knew that a lot of reductions come out of surgery with "frankentitties", but that really wasn't the case for me with Dr. Rowin. I went from a 34H (I'm 5ft 6 and 140 pounds, for reference) and I'm probably a 34D to 34DD now. Surgery was easy with no complications and I stayed in SC for a week to make sure I didn't have any emergencies. Dr. Rowin's nurse gave me her cell phone to make sure I had everything I needed and he was very accommodating when it came to scheduling my follow-up. I did not have drains and the incisions were beautifully done.Healing was easy - I couldn't lift 20 pounds for about a month or two, but had very limited pain and didn't have to use my pain meds, which were prescribed. I took a month off of work to heal and while I was tired, the pain really wasn't bad at all. Again, Dr. Rowin's office was also very communicative and always happy to help if I had any questions about redness or healing. Now I am five months post-op and feel incredible. My neck pain is gone, my breasts are perky and beautiful, and while I have some scars, they are healing extremely well and I expect them to fade to white in the next few months. I look natural and feel my most beautiful self. Honestly, if anyone is questioning whether or not to get a breast reduction with Dr. Rowin, I cannot recommend him more. It was truly a life-changing experience.
I have never met a Dr that is more positive and patient in his pre and follow up care. I am THRILLED with my Tummy Tuck and Muscle Repair results and thoroughly trust his expertise. He is genuine, polite and I am very thankful to have landed in his capable and talented sculpting hands. I am only 4 weeks post op and my results are fantastic. At every apt he has answered all of my questions and then some and has been a joy to work with. So far my scar looks great, I have little swelling, my belly button looks great and he was able to get all of the stretch marks even though he wasn't sure if he could get them all pre surgery. He is honest and I have no double my results will get better and better as I continue to heal. Thank you Dr. Rowin!- Ill post pics when Im fully healed.
I can’t say enough great things about Dr Rowin and his practice! He listened to everything I asked for and did such an amazing job! I couldn’t be happier with the results. He exceeded my expectations. Both Dr Rowin and everyone that works with him were so accommodating, kind, and were there for me every step of the way. Also Reba his nurse is the best! So kind and caring. If you are looking for a plastic surgeon look no further. If you want the best then Dr Rowin and Plastic Surgery of the Carolinas is the place to go.
Dr. Rowin was always professional and very caring throughout my entire process. He was very attentive to my questions while in the office for follow ups as well as my preliminary appointments. I felt confidence with all decisions he suggested and would recommend him, hands down, to anyone looking for a plastic surgeon in the Charleston area.
