Any injectable such as filler causes post treatment swelling. It may take up to two weeks for the swelling to fully resolve. For now, be patient. I am really sorry that whoever did this to you didn't fully explain the recovery. Best of luck.

The procedure that you've had performed on your nose is not exactly for every doctor and every patient as well. Your noes does show Improvement as it's lost that split in the tip. The overhanging of the chip is most likely due to the swelling which will probably be still present for one more week. Do not be discouraged and give it one more week and then if you're not happy you can always have the Juvederm or Restylane that was used, reduced with hyaluronidase. Good luck from New York City

Juvederm and other fillers is fabulous for a quick correction but any filler can cause swelling that lasts up to to two weeks in duration.  I would recommend waiting at least two weeks to assess the area and review the results with your treating physician.  Please consult an expert in cosmetic injections for the best results.  Best, Dr. Green

Thank you for your question.  I do not know how long it has been since you had the filler treatment on your nose, but it is possible that your nose could be still swollen from injection.  Swelling after the injection for first 1-2 weeks is expected.  If it is more than 2 weeks and unhappy with the result, Juvederm and Restylane can be removed with hyaluronidase.  I hope this helps you to feel ease and wish you the best.

Thank you for your question and for submitting your photos.  I'm very sorry to hear that you aren't happy with the results of your Juvederm treatment.  It's not uncommon to experience swelling for up to 2 weeks after any filler injections - in the nose, this swelling can sometimes last even longer.  At 6 days out, it's still quite early, so impossible to assess your final results until your swelling has fully subsided.  It may be worthwhile to follow-up with your injector to discuss your concerns - he/she may be able to recommend medications like a short course of oral steroids to help your swelling resolve sooner.  I would recommend waiting at least 2-3 weeks before dissolving your filler - keep in mind that hyaluronidase, the medication used to dissolve Juvederm, can also cause swelling.  Best of luck!

Hello,Swelling is one of the most common side effects following filler injections and often varies greatly between patients. Some will have significant swelling and some may not swell at all. We recommend to our filler patients to ice the injection site for 10-15 minutes every hour for a few hours after the procedure to minimize swelling. If the filler used was a hyaluronic acid based filler, such as Juvederm, it can be reversed by injecting hyaluronidase into the same area. Hyaluronidase degrades the hyaluronic acid. I would recommend waiting 10-14 days before having the filler reversed just to make sure you do not have residual swelling or possible subcutaneous bruising that is making your nose appear larger than you had hoped for.

Juvederm can be removed with hyaluronidase very efficiently.   It is hard to assess your nose from one view but you look quite swollen.   If you could send move views we could assess better.  My Best,  Dr Commons
