Is 1cc of Juvederm good enough for my desired result? (Photo)

I am looking to get juvederm injunction in my lips for a more full appearance. I am wondering is 1cc of juvederm sufficient to ice me my desired result. Please advise.

You would get a nice improvement with lip fillers. Most Doctors will start with one syringe of filler to reduce the risk of over-filling. These fillers, (Volbella, Restylane, Juvederm) are good to create a symmetrical and full lip. PDO Nova threads can also be used to improve shape and also provide lift. Fat or implants are a permanent alternative. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a facial sculpting expert. Hi there, 1cc of Juvederm looks different in different people. That is one syringe might be perfect for your sister but not enough for you. I strongly recommend that you consult a board certificated dermatologist for guidance and possible treatment. Thank you for your question and for sharing your photographs.  Based on your narrative and photos, I would recommend a conservative approach by starting with one syringe of Juvederm.  Please keep in mind that it will take 2 weeks to allow for normal postprocedure swelling to fully resolve and to see your final result.  More product can be added at that time, if necessary, to achieve your desired result.  Please be sure to see an expert injector for an in-person consultation to fully discuss your goals and expectations in order to determine the best treatment plan.  Hope this helps and best wishes!

Thank you for your question and for submitting your photos.  You already have excellent lip shape and volume - I would recommend taking a more conservative approach with your lip fillers and starting with 1cc of filler.  While I suspect that you may ultimately need more than 1 syringe to achieve you desired results, I think it's better to build slowly over time to avoid overfilling the lips.  Keep in mind, it's much easier to add filler as needed than it is to remove unwanted fillers from the lips.  I would recommend that you schedule a consultation with an experienced cosmetic dermatologist or plastic surgeon to discuss your concerns.  Best of luck!

Hi.  To go from your "before" to those "afters" it will take more than 1cc.  But more importantly lip injection results do not last that long and have to be injected frequently for upkeep.  Beyond that it is usually impossible to increase the size significantly all in one session as there is not enough room in the lips and they will get stiff and odd looking.  This type of dramatic lip augmentation must be done over multiple sessions every 3-4 weeks over and over until the desired result is achieved and then maintained over time to prevent significant deflation.

Thank you for sharing your question about lip augmentation. Based on the photos you have provided, I would recommend starting with 1 syringe of filler, especially to add some volume to your upper lip. You already have a very nice shape to your lips and it is important to remain looking natural. A nice soft product such as Juvederm Volbella is an excellent product to consider. Please be sure you are seeing a board-certified specialist who is very experienced with lip injections. I always recommend having your injector show you before/after photos in order to make sure that your aesthetic goals are in line with your injector. Best of luck!

Ideally would like to look at your entire face and not just lips, as everything has to be in proportion, HOWEVER based upon the photos, yes, 1 ml will get you there. As with everyone on board, I do believe in a conservative approach, 1 ml then wait 2 to 3 weeks, and go from there. Remember, its facial harmony that counts as well, a good injector would look at the overall balance of your face, and can provide recommendations based upon pan facial assessment. Dr Davin Lim.
