I feel sick after getting lip filler. Related to the filler or totally coincidental?

I got Juvederm in my lips last week.My lips do feel weird like there is something foreign in them...is that normal? fA few hours after the lip injections I started to feel stomach pain/nausea & felt as though I had mild food poisoning which lasted a day. Now I feel like I have the flu.but it comes & goes.My arms feel weak and my upper back hurts and I sometimes feel weak/feverish and last night I had terrible night sweats where I woke up completely drenched in sweat. I just don't feel good.

Your symptoms are likely unrelated to your Juvederm treatment.  I encourage you to speak with your primary care physician to address your illness.  The "foreign" feeling you have where the product was injected is normal.  This will become unnoticeable over time.

These symptoms are unlikely caused by your filler injections. If it persists, I recommend following up with your Doctor. Keep in mind, it can take 1-2 weeks for final results with fillers. If you're unhappy with your final results, you can have it reversed with hyaluronidase and try a different technique next time. The fact that your your lips feel a little weird is completely normal.  On the other hand, it is highly unlikely that your Juvederm injections caused your flu-like symptoms.  Should your symptoms persist or worsen I would recommend seeing a doctor to determine the best way to combat whatever is causing your symptoms and evaluate any sign of infection or allergic reaction.
