Juvederm fillers have hardened and swollen

Question

I had fillers back in February and all was good, but a couple of weeks ago I've noticed the fillers have hardened and swelled , I've tried to contact the nurse who administered them but not getting any response, I'm quite worried as it's quite noticeable

your question shelly48. I understand your concern. Juvederm is a
filler used to restore lost volume in and enhance the appearance of the face. Swelling and hardness months after a treatment are unusual and should be evaluated by either the injector or another physician injector. Please
consult with a doctor for specific recommendations.  Good luck!

Swelling and hardness at this point following your injections isn't normal. You need to see either a board certified plastic surgeon or a dermatologist to have this looked at as soon as possible. It could be an infection. Best of luck.

I'm very sorry to hear that you are experiencing complications from your Juvederm treatment.  Delayed swelling and hardening of fillers can be a sign of infection or a reaction to fillers - either of these conditions require urgent medical attention.  Please contact a cosmetic dermatologist or plastic surgeon with extensive experience in dermal fillers and their complications.  I hope you feel better soon.

I always tell my patients, please check the credentials of a person treating you at all times. Now that you have a problem arising from some kind of a treatment I would recommend you go and see either a plastic surgeon or dermatologist as soon as possible for an evaluation.
