Thanks for the question being a thin male is not a problem, smaller implants will show more in you and you would not likely need a lot of implant to make a nice change while at the same time keeping the risk of complications low
One ofthe most important factors in creating the perfect derriere with implants isindeed selecting the right size AND shape. I have found the best way to assurethis is to simply measure the actual dimensions of the patient’s buttockcheeks. With these anatomical measurements, I can select an implant that notonly significantly augments the buttock but also supplies the correct3-dimensional enhancement to look as real as possible. Therefore the only wayfor you to know what implant works best is to consult with a board certifiedplastic surgeon specializing in this procedure and have him/her take yourmeasurements before selecting an implant and proceeding with surgery. The largest buttock implant currently available in the USA is a 690cc roundimplant. Indeed custom implants can be ordered larger, not only at a premiumprice but at a premium risk for most patients'. Unlike breast implants whichare placed under the very expandable tissue of the breast and half of thepectoral major muscle, buttock implants are (most preferably) placed under (orat least within) the largest strongest muscle of the body, the gluteus maximusmuscle, which is not nearly as expandable or forgiving. Thus most patientssimply do not have a large enough native buttock muscle to fit an implant overeven 500 ccs', without leading to significant complication such as woundbreakdown/opening &/or implant exposure...necessitating removal. Thus some of those sought after video-vixen and celeb-types (without mentioningnames) with cartoonish bottoms could have either gotten extremely luckywith a huge oversized implant, had a very large volume of fillerinjected such as silicone or hydrogel (all highly NOT recommended because ofpossible risk of severe infections and even deadly complications),and/or have been genetically "blessed".I generally do not recommend fat grafting at the same time as placing buttockimplants because of a significantly increased risk of infection. For fat tosurvive it must be grafted into muscle, however that is also where the implantsits. Thus, if fat it injected into the implant or implant pocket then it willdie and almost assuredly get infected - necessitating removal of the implant aswell. Nonetheless, buttock implants are a proven safe and effective method of buttockaugmentation as long as the recommendations of a board certified plasticsurgeon specialist are adhered to.Glad to help.
Dear Antminaj, Thanks for submitting your goal pictures. It would have been very helpful to see your back and side views pictures. Being as it may, with over 12 years experience of doing butt implants surgeries and operating on hundreds of patients, in my opinion, the followings are best steps for optimal results : 1. Using ultra soft, oval round implants or oval bubble butt implants ( depends on the anatomy of the patient's butt ). That creats natural look, since the butts are oval and not round. 2. Placing the implants in the subfascial plane. That allows placement of the biggest implants ( presently, the biggest is 750 cc ) and create a nice 'S' curve , by making the pocket up to the posterior iliac spine, where the gluteal muscles attach. Placing the implants under the muscles or in the muscles is disadventageous , because the implants are smaller, recovery is more painful and you can have more complication, due to the fact the the dissection is not in a natural plane. Beside selecting the right surgeon, the 2nd most important thing is strict follow up of post operative instruction in order to avoid complication like hematoma, wound separation and implants displacement. As you can see from the above, there are different techniqes and different implants. So, do your due diligence , because not all results are the same. Always, consult with board certified plastic surgeons who operate in accredited surgery center for your safety. Most importantly, check the before and after pictures to make sure that they are numerous, consistent and attractive. Check also the 'realself' reviews for positive patients experience which provides important information on the surgeons. Best of luck, Dr Widder
Thank you for your question.Yes, males do get Buttock Implants. In my busy buttock practice in Toronto, I do one male Buttock Augmentation for each 4 ladies, so much more common than people may think. You should also discuss with your surgeon if you are looking for a fuller but masculine buttock versus a more feminine wider and rounder buttocks (different shapes of buttocks: square, round, A-type, V-type).We have many different shape and size of implants so your Plastic Surgeon can measure your buttock area and recommend the appropriate height, width and thickness of Buttock Implant that would match your anatomy and your desires.Liposuction and Fat Grafting are often added at the same time if someone wants even more fullness. Again, something you would discuss with you board-certified plastic surgeon.Do get an experienced board-certified plastic surgeon.Hope this helps!Best,Dr Marc DuPere,
Being a male and skinny does not preclude you from having buttock implants. However, based on the ideal picture you have shown it may not be possible to achieve that goal from where you are now, At the least, this would require a subfascial implant placement.
Toimprove the appearance of your buttocks you need to think about shape not size. You and many people want to go for size, but it’s about shape, the key is aboutaesthetic, sense of balance and proportions. Although size may be important, traditionally it is the buttock shape that really attract the eye.Yourbuttocks needs to be examined from variousperspectives: a) Size.b) Shape: square or rectangular shape? round shape? upside down heartshape? c) Butt projection.d) Butt crease. e) Outer thigh bone (trochanteric) depression, in thelateral or side buttock area.f) Width, hips.g) Muscle firmness and tone. h) Firmness of the buttock fat and i) Adjacent áreas: excess of fat above butt.Ineed to evaluate all these characteristics, which contribute to the butt. shape/sizeand then I can properly assess what has to be done. Theimplant alone does not give you the result that you want. It is the combinationof the implant size, implant shape, the rib shape, the muscle thickness in yourbuttocks area, the amount of fat below you skin in you butt and it's firmness, and the quality of skin over your buttock.Realisticexpectations are important in all cosmetic procedures. If you are skinny andyour bottom is flat your only option is butt implants, and expect to have alarge butt with nice change. Every surgeon has a different style; look at the plastic surgeon's website before and after photo galleries. These images will help you to better visualize the procedure for yourself. Even thin individuals can have buttock implants. The are is choosing the right size implant and understanding the interaction between the tissue and implant. Choosing the right position of the implant is critical and the execution of the surgical procedure
