44/F, slightly overweight. Even being thin I’ve always had a deficient chin. I always look like I have a double chin. My neck is huge. That runs in my family. Is there one procedure to fix this or is it multiple? Perhaps if my neck was smaller, my chin wouldn’t look so bad.

Morpheus 8 is a non-invasive skin and soft tissue tightening treatment that is consistently amazing in our patients. We use the Morpheus to exact fractional induced RF into the skin or tissue in order to tighten collagen and stimulate contraction of the tissue. For acne scars, it is quite useful to build collagen in patients who have atrophic scars but is not very productive for ice-pick scars which require TCA Cross. For tissue tightening, Morpheus is ideal for the face and neck and we often combine it with CO2 laser or Ultherapy to further enhance results. Chemical peels and skin resurfacing should be done at least 5 to 7 days after, but can be performed earlier, depending on treatment severity. Avoid exfoliating skin treatments before Morpheus and expect a period of 2-4 weeks for skin contraction to set in.

The appearance of your neck suggests a hereditary predisposition, which typically does not respond well to liposuction alone. While weight loss may contribute to some degree of improvement in neck contour, the excess volume in your case appears to be situated beneath the platysma muscle, an area that is not significantly affected by weight fluctuations.

Reducing deep neck volume consistently enhances jawline definition and creates the impression of increased chin projection. This effect is evident in all cases where a deep plane neck lift is performed, improving the appearance of the neck both in a neutral position and during neck flexion.

In the profile photo, you have a recessed chin that would benefit from a chin implant or sliding genioplasty to add more projection and balance the lower face. In addition, I would recommend simultaneous submental liposuction. These two procedures together should help you achieve the result that you are seeking.

More information is needed, such as a full set of facial and chin/neck photographs from all angles, and your height and weight. Your BMI should be less than 32 before considering undergoing any procedure in your neck. If you have a recessive chin profile, strongly consider placement of a chin implant. The fat deposits in these limited photographs appear to be located both above and below the platysma muscle, which is going to require a neck lift procedure. If you have  poor skin tone, then you're going to require skin removal as well.
