Should I go for 300cc high profile or 325 high Profile implants? (photos)

Generally, in my practice, most women do not regret having chosen a slightly larger size. There are many aspects that go into sizing breast implants. Do remember that 25 mL is a small volume and does not make in many cases a large difference from one breast to the other. One should have a good discussion with one's plastic surgeon regarding choosing a size. It is often wise to bring in photographs of what you are trying to achieve. Remember that every woman's anatomy is quite unique and it is impossible to fully determine or achieve a particular shape or size.

Thanks for posting your question.  It is not possible to assist with implant selection based on a photo, since the surgeon must measure your breasts and assess tissue thickness, skin tone, and other factors.  Fortunately the two implants you are considering are less than 10% different in size, so the result will be similar regardless of the choice.  Your surgeon will be able to assist with your final selection.

In my experience seeing post op patients if they were going to change implant size  most say they would have gone a little larger.That being said 25ccs is almost imperceptible.   Good luck

Thank you for your question.  When choosing implant size, many of our patients opt for the larger of the two choices.  In this instance, with only a 25 cc's difference, there would be no noticable difference as 25cc's is about a tablespoon.  In the end you need to make your choice based on what you are comfortable with and what will make you happiest.Best regards,Dr. Lane F. The size of implant best for you is dictated by your
chest wall measurements. Once we determine that we can choose the profile
based on what you want or need to achieve.  If you are seeking a natural look,
then the diameter of the implant should be equal to or, more ideally, smaller
than the width of your breast. The breast width is a measurement of how wide
your breast is at the base, which should be measured at the level of the
nipple. Choosing an implant that is smaller in diameter than your breast width
will avoid the "side breast" fullness that is often associated with a
more artificial appearance. Other than that, you should choose the
implant based on volume, not on the dimensions of the implant. You should
choose a board certified plastic surgeon that you trust to help guide you in
this decision.

Silicone will give you a fullness at the
top (upper pole fullness).

Silicone implants come pre-filled with a
silicone gel and are the softest implant available. They feel more natural,
which makes them a good option for women with less natural breast tissue; but
they require a larger incision. It may be more difficult to realize if this
type of implant has ruptured, so it is important to monitor them with annual
follow-up visits. Additionally, because this implant contains a more liquid
silicone (less cross-linked), if this implant should rupture, it will leak only
into the scar capsule formed around the implant but may cause some discomfort
or implant distortion.

Anatomic gummy bear implants might be a
good choice to give you volume.

These highly-sought-after, anatomic
implants offer a look that more closely resembles the natural silhouette of a
breast, and, therefore, are a very attractive option for individuals seeking a
natural-looking, aesthetic primary breast augmentation. Additionally, these
implants are an especially excellent option for patients undergoing restorative
or corrective breast surgery because they provide more stability, shape, and
reduced incidence of capsular contracture. Compared to other types of silicone
gel implants, the silicone in the cohesive gel implant is more cross-linked;
therefore, should the implant shell “rupture,” it maintains its shape and
silicone does not leak.

consultation, you should feel the different types of implants available, and
try on various implant sizers in front of a mirror to help you to get an idea
of how you will look following the surgery. You should also bring pictures of
the look you would like to achieve, as well as a favorite top to wear when

Thank you for your question and photos.  What is important is that you have a clear agreement with your surgeon about your goals.  An experienced surgeon should be able to help you decide what size implant will give you the look you desire.  No reputable online reviewer can diagnose or make treatment recommendations based on photographs alone.  I would suggest you revisit with your surgeon to discuss your concerns.

There is minimal difference between implants that are the same profile and 25 cc apart.  From the look you want, I would choose the larger implant.  Good luck.

Thanks for your question. It seems from your desired appearance that you like the fuller look, especially at the upper pole of the breasts. I would generally suggest that you go w/ the HP 325cc implants to get that look, provided your surgeon agrees after your examination. Best wishes.
