I got a hernia right where my c-section incision is and I want to get a tummy tuck. I had my surgery on July 30th, and they went in where my c-section scar is. I'd like to get one asap while my baby is small, he's 5 and a half months old. Please advise. Thanks.

Answer: Timing of tummy tuck I would recommend six weeks of healing before considering a tummy tuck but this is the minimum amount of time.As you are only 5 months from delivering your child, are you back to your pre pregancy weight? Has your healing from the hernia repair been uneventful? Are you back to your full range of activities since your surgery? Have you discussed this with your general surgeon?Seek out a board certified plastic surgeon to evaluate you and help guide you on preparing for the tummy tuck.Good luck and I hope this was helpful.
