Many thanks for your question. In general it is fine to get scalp incisions wet following surgery but it is best to avoid soaps/shampoos as these can irritate the scar and affect healing. Wait for the wounds to heal which is in general at two to three weeks before then proceeding with gentle hair washing with shampoo. All the best,Jonathan
Keep the area clean and well washed. I would use Plato's Scar Serum on the scars to help with healing.Best, Dr. Karamanoukian#Realself100 Surgeon
Thank you for sharing your question. I would recommend addressing this with your surgeon as they know the full details of your procedure. In general as long as you do not rub or scrub your incision sites it should be fine to shower the day following surgery. Hope this helps.
I would recommend you follow your surgeons directions but most cases you could shower the next day.Best of luckDr. Michael Gartner
The timing of washing your head after removal of three lipomas on your scalp may depend on how the wounds were closed. I would contact the surgeon who performed your procedure so that you can get the best answer to your question.
You may get the incision wet when showering 2 days after surgery. The shower should be brief and the wound patted dry with a clean towel. No baths or soaking the incision until your stitches have been removed. Please see your operating surgeon to assure all its healing properly.
In general, gentle wash should be safe as long as you don't rub themand thereby inadvertently remove sutures. Seek guidance from the surgeon who did the procedure.BestH Karamanoukian MD FACS

Usually within just a few days of the surgery but that depends on the individual's surgeon's preferences and recommendations, and also, of course, on exactly what was done. You should check with your surgeon to be sure. I hope that this helps and good luck, Dr. Alan Engler, Member of #RealSelf500
Pain and sensitivity usually resolves after surgery. I would discuss the symptoms with your surgeon to see if there are any concomitant problems. Best, Dr. Karamanoukian#Realself100 Surgeon
