After extensive research I met Mr Adamthwaite to discuss life changing surgery. Not only informative and supportive, every conversation and outcome made me feel important as an individual. He is such a warm and caring man. I was looked after every step of the way - consultation at York, surgery and stay at Nuffield Chester, aftercare and follow up reviews. And, for me, absolutely zero pain post op. My life has improved dramatically and I cannot thank Mr Adamthwaite and the wonderful team at Nuffield Chester enough.
I have researched a lot into breast reduction, and also into reputable Surgeons and came across Mr Adamthwaite's website. How lucky am I! I have been so so unhappy with my drooping breasts for years(touched the top of my waist!) That I booked a consultation. Straight away I knew this man Mr Adamthwaite was the surgeon for me. He was thorough, with his effective questioning and very informative of what the procedure would entail, and gave the the pros and cons. 6 weeks post surgery, I am so happy it has changed my life! I am a 62 year old and can now start looking into the mirror with pride! From start to finish Mr Adamtwaite and his team have been there to support me. This man is a genius! he worked magic on these drooping empty baloon bags! (thats how bad they were!) I am so happy with them, that I will be going back to Mr Adamthwaite about other procedures that I would like to have. But I will only go back to him. Anyone who books with Mr Adamthwaite are very lucky indeed, you have no need to look eleswhere, because do you know what, he actually really cares about you, and you can tell with the pride he takes in his work. Thank you Mr Adamthwaite.
I'm writing this review to express my gratitude to Dr Adamthwaite, for as long as I can remember the idea of a rhinoplasty, nose job as I would call it is something that I had hoped for but the misconceptions of it being out of a non celebrity's price range or that it is too much of a traumatic experience after seeing images of black black eyes accompanied by thoughts of pain I didn't think it would ever happen for me. I thoroughly researched prices, locations and possible outcomes. I looked for a ethical, professional and reputable surgeon. I was at ease from my initial consultation with Dr Adamthwaite he is professional, calm and honest with what can be achieved. Dr Adamthwaite has always been easily contactable before and after the procedure which gave me 100% trust in him, it's evident he is skilled and knowledgeable. This whole process has been so positive for me, the Nuffield made it feel like a 5* hotel, caring staff, great working facilities and so professional and organised. The procedure and recovery for me was pretty much painless with minimal brusing, I followed the advice that was given to me and it was a very smooth process. In the past I would avoid side profile photos and now I actually feel amazing looking at them. I am so pleased I went through with rhinoplasty and I am so grateful that Dr Adamthwaite was my surgeon.
3 weeks post op and fully healed after a augmented mastopexy at the Chester Nuffield with Johnathan. The whole experience from first consultation to surgery day was outstanding. I arrived at 730 am, taken to my own room and settled ready for surgery with regular checks from nursing staff. Surgery was 2pm after recovery room I was taken back to my own room. The staff were excellent and I can honestly say I have never experienced care like it. Johnathon came to see me on waking after GA and again the next morning for a review. I am so happy with my breasts & I have the look and shape I have longed for many years.
Dr Adamthwaite is exceptional at what he does, the communication between patient and consultant was at times not great and there was a lot of chasing. But all in all it was a very good process. Would recommend.
I am 6 months post op, having had breast augmentation with a breast uplift and I am delighted with the results! I now have very natural looking 30F breasts which are proportionate to my size and with minimal scarring. Jonathan is confident, diligent and ensures you are comfortable and informed from consultation through to surgery. I would highly recommend Jonathan and his exceptional attention to detail if you are considering any cosmetic procedure.
Dr Adamthwaite was extremely reassuring and professional in all aspects of my procedure. From the initial telephone consultation to the face to face and then the procedure itself, everything was explained in detail and any and all questions answered. I wished for the procedure to be very private and also not to have an overcorrection that may have looked unnatural. Everything went to plan and the support team were also excellent as well. The end result is highly satisfactory. I would have no hesitation in recommending Dr Adamthwaite for this procedure and would rate him very highly indeed!
I had a breast augmentation with mastopexy performed by Mr Adamthwaite at Nuffield Health Chester just over 6 weeks ago. Following pregnancy and breast feeding, I was unhappy with how my breasts looked and decided to book in a consultation at Nuffield Health after reading good reviews. My first consultation with Mr Adamthwaite was very in depth and he advised me what I would need to get the result I wanted, what this specific surgery would entail and answered every question I had regarding implants, incisions, recovery and everything in between. The main thing for me was to regain the perkiness and shape of my breasts, rather than the size itself (I just wanted to look in proportion) and I felt like he understood this from the outset. Shortly after my first consultation, I booked in my surgery date and another consultation where I was able to answer any remaining questions I had. I also had a pre operative assessment and COVID-19 test. The day of the surgery went smoothly, my hospital admission time was 7.30am and the nurse came to collect me for my surgery just after 10am where I was then put under general anaesthetic (this was one of the things I was worried about never having been put under general anaesthesia before, but all was fine and the anaesthetist put me at ease). I met with Mr Adamthwaite and the anaesthetist on the morning of the surgery also, so I knew exactly what would happen. Following surgery, pain was to be expected but eased with the pain killers provided. I was also feeling very nauseas for the rest of the day/night. I decided to stay the night in the hospital as I wanted to be comfortable for my first night, but I was given the option of being discharged the same day. Recovery from there onwards went very quickly, the first week being the hardest with children but got easier every day after that. I was informed to wear my post op bra for 6 weeks and the breast band for 3 months which helps support the breasts into more natural position. I have attached a photo of my breasts from 4 weeks post surgery. I was happy for Mr Adamthwaite to decide on the implant size during surgery with what he thought would give me the best result based on the look I wanted. The implants are round 350CC under the muscle and I have anchor incisions where the implants were inserted and lift was performed. I was a bit worried about the scarring not knowing how thick or long the incisions were going to be, but I was pleasantly surprised when the dressings were removed and I saw how fine the incisions/scars were. I don’t have a before picture to upload unfortunately but my breasts were a lot smaller and lower from where they had rapidly grew and stretched so much during my pregnancy. Overall, I’m so pleased I chose Mr Adamthwaite to perform my surgery and couldn’t have been happier with my result and the process from initial consultation to now. I would recommend Mr Adamthwaite as well as the Nuffield Health Chester to anybody looking to have breast surgery.
Let me start by explaining myself and saying that I’m a 25 year old, and had bad sagging loose breasts since I can ever remember. I always knew growing up that they weren’t going to be normal and was told this by surgeons.I had an operation at the age of 19 and had 500cc implants over the muscle, I think I could have done with a breast lift at the time but didn’t go ahead with it. As the years went on I had more problems and took some time to decide a breast lift was the only option. This decision took me years, and I was always apprehensive about it due to the scars.I was told about Jonathon Adamthwaite and how much of a perfectionist he was, by many people at Nuffield hospital. I booked my consultation with Jonathon(I had 3 previous consultations before with other surgeons) I felt so much confidence from him, in a realistic way, so different to the others, that reassured me booking with him was the right thing to do. My thoughts were up and down t this surgery right until the very last moment. Now, at nearly 2 weeks post-op (I haven’t viewed the scars yet) I am the happiest person in the world. I wish I met with Jonathon sooner, as he advises you correctly and truly is a perfectionist. I thought I wouldn’t ever be able to have nice normal breasts like this. I’m sure they are still swollen, so may look better right now, but I can’t believe how the breasts are so perfect for me, and a big relief.I am hugely grateful that Jonathon Adamthwaite agreed to operate and overwhelmed with how they are.A review is the least I can do as he’s changed my life so much. Updated on 9 May 2021: I thought I had uploaded some photos, however can’t see them; so I have uploaded some now :) I am going for my dressings off on the Tuesday so will keep everyone updated :D I still am feeling overwhelmed with the decision of this, no matter what the scars look like now!:) Updated on 16 May 2021: I was supposed to go to the 2 week post op check and removal of dressings, I was running late and missed the appointment to see the nurses(which by the way are so lovely! The nurse that removed the drain was so gentle, careful and kind, I didn’t catch her name and Emily that looked after me after surgery, I was a mess but she was the sweetest.) The nurse asked me over the phone if I had any concerns, and I did not !:) so we decided to leave the dressings on. I ended up taking them off today and here is the update. I’m so pleasantly surprised thus far as I heard so many bad things from previous surgeons that put me off, and didn’t feel the confidence from them as I did from Jonathon, and also didn’t always get the honesty. I was told I could lose my nipples from others and this worried me, whilst Jonathon sort of gave a confident but un-arrogant laugh. He is literally a genius, i know the scars have some healing to do, but being this early on , I’m so happy with how things are going, and never believed what he could do was even remotely possible. I did have to wait a long time to book in with him but I’m glad I did. Updated on 18 May 2021: I know there wasn’t many cases I could find like mine; exchanging a large implant for a smaller and getting the uplift, so hope this has helped others. I was so worried for a long time about the scars, especially the vertical line from the nipple to the crease, but I can’t believe how barely visible this is.. I’m so pleased with the scars and never seen anything like them, so much drastic change with such perfect scars. Everyday I’m looking at them and so happy and grateful, I always hoped for normal boobs like this, and are just perfect for me. Updated on 21 May 2021: I can’t believe the progress when I look back. This surgery is such a relief and can’t believe I ever even had any worries about the scarring. Jonathon Adamthwaite must be the UK’s best surgeon. Updated on 19 Sep 2021: I’m sure this was such a hard procedure for Jonathon to do, you cannot see how poor my skin was in the photos, but never did I expect the shape and nipples to heal so amazingly. He did advise me beforehand, that due to my skin colour, I could get keloid scarring, or darker scarring, the scarring is so barely visible, I have worse acne scars lol! I still can’t believe that he has been able to create such perfectly shaped, perfectly proportionate breasts. Everyone thinks I’ve lost weight. I’m 26 years old and was unhappy with them my whole life, after my first breast enlargement I was happy but always wished they looked normal like others, what Jonathon has gave me, was better than my first breast enlargement surgery. I never expected a second correction surgery would look better than an initial breast enlargement surgery. I always believed once you had dodgy breasts, you had to live with that and accept it. Dr Jonathon Adamthwaite has made me, for the first time in 26 years love my breasts. I love how humble he is, I’m such a worried person and worried about every small thing, but I believe barely any surgeons could of done what he did. I still owe him a gift !! If anyone has any ideas, do let me know :)
A mum to three children the pregnancies had progressively taken their toll on my body. Although slim and going to the gym five ties a week the appearance did not improve enough to feel confident in a bikini or my clothes. I was looking for the impossible, a treatment that was non invasive to repair skin that had been stretched beyond it's limit. I tried everything before accepting that abdominoplasty was the only solution. I was a nervous patient having never had an operation before, however Johnathan's professional, calm and reassuring manner made me feel confident that this was the procedure for me. Post op I was worried about the pain but the nurses were exemplary and I can honestly say the pain was no where near what I had imagined and was managed well. Jonathan came to see me after the op to see how I was and explained everything had gone very well. Four months on I can honestly say this has been life changing! No longer do I hide away my stomach, I can confidently where a bikini, which by the way I did six weeks post op on holiday. Before this procedure I hated how my stomach looked every day. Now I love it and wised I had plucked up the courage to do this before. I would 100% recommend Johnathan and his procedure techniques.
Many thanks for your question. From your picture it appears that the right breast incision separated following surgery which has left a wide scar. At this stage taping will not successfully narrow this. However it is still worth taping to provide support to the scar as it settles and matures. You can expect this scar to fade over time but you will be left with a wider scar compared to the left side. All scars become less prominent over time and the redness fades so this difference will become less apparent over the next 6-12 months. At least the scar appear close to the fold under your breast and so they are less visible as other areas of the breast or chest wall. You have the option when things have settled to have the scar revised under local anaesthetic if you find it unsightly. I would consult your surgeon in person and be guided by them going forward. All the very best, Jonathan
Many thanks for your question. Rhinoplasty and otoplasty can be combined at the same procedure and still be a day case with no overnight stay as preferred. Often cartilage is harvested from the ear in certain types of rhinoplasty. Seek specialist assessment from a fully accredited surgeon with experience in this area. All the best, Jonathan
Many thanks for your question and sorry to see you've been left with such a dent following a fall. From your photos fat transfer would be the preferred option to help improve the appearance. Fat is harvested using liposuction from another area and following processing injected to help fill out the dent. I would advise in person assessment with a fully accredited plastic surgeon with experience in this area. All the best, Jonathan
Many thanks for your question. A dent like you describe can be improved using your own fat taken from another area. This is called fat transfer. At the same time any underlying scar tissue can be released. Seek assessment in person with a fully accredited plastic surgeon with expertise in this area. All the best, Jonathan
Many thanks for your question. Fat transfer using your own fat harvested from another area can be used to help improve these indentations you have. They can be due to damage to the underlying fat caused by steroid injections and by certain vaccinations. Be reassured improvement is possible and I would advise seeing a fully accredited plastic surgeon with experience in the area. All the best, Jonathan
