Im a 26-year-old male and Ive had a small, firm lump in my pubic area for about 6 months. Its painless, doesnt move under the skin, and has a pinkish to reddish-purple color. It hasnt changed in size much, but its not going away either. It doesnt have a white or black head, and its not filled with pus. When I press on it, its firm and feels slightly deep under the skin. Im trying to figure out if this could be a dermatofibroma, angioma, or some kind of deep cyst. Ive attached two clear photos for reference. Does this look like something benign that I can leave alone? Will it go away on its own or should I get it removed? Is an ultrasound helpful in identifying what it is? Thank you!
Hi, ever since I was born I have a growth in my eye. I have been seen by the nhs and have been told its a dermolipoma. I want to have this removed due to cometic reasons as its visable to me - the nhs wont do it but I dont know who specialises in this.
I have an approximately 20mm x 18mm x 4mm Subgaleal lipoma located above my left eyebrow. It begins around 5mm above my eyebrow, and is right about centre to my eyebrow midline. I have been told by 2 doctors that it needs to be removed by a plastic surgeon as nobody else will go near it due to its location and depth, being in a spot with so many nerves and arteries. I am concerned about the procedure and risks and am hoping to recieve some information on what the removal may entail due to. How risky is it being the loocation it is? Can it be worked around to minimise the risk? What size incision is needed? Will it cause my eyebrow to be raised, or facial asymmetry? How can that be minimised? Is there anyrhing specific I should be looking for in a plastic surgeon to ensure I find someone who is able to safely remove it but also factoring in cosmetic concerns? Thank you in advance. I appreciate the time of any who respond.
Doctor(s) ... 74 - Man - 5' 10 - 230 lbs I've developed a Lipoma on my inner upper left thigh ... It has been rubbing against my upper scrotum, pants, etc. when I walk, a stinging is what alerted me to it ... By that time it was irritated like a boil, and burst the next day ... I can still feel the fatty lump beneath. Do I need a General Surgeon (as it has to be removed)? ... Any Doc suggestions in my area Thanks! RR
I have a large number of painful lipomas (the lipomas are likely related to my diagnosis of MEN1) in my upper and lower abdomen and at the base of my rib cage. The surgeon I've seen suggested a panniculectomy, which would not take care of the lipomas higher up. She knows insurance won't pay for anything more than that but I want to know what would take care of it ALL. This causes me a lot of pain and infections. What surgeries would get rid of all three tiers, the lipomas and excess skin?
I have lipomas in both my feet (same area) that cause severe pain when standing or walking for extended periods. My podiatrist is leaving his practice. Gave me MRI results today. He told me to research this issue and talk to the next guy. I cant seem to find a lot of information on this specific issue. I have tried orthodics for ~10mon with limited releif. Other treatment options? Surgery process and risks? Resources? Possible causes? Recurrance rates?
I am a 35-year-old male and over the past 8 years I have noticed lumps under my skin, started with one on the forearm that has double in size (compression on the arm makes me think that perhaps there are two very close to the each other). Another pop up about 2 years ago and is growing. Recently, I felt another tiny one, all three in close proximity. I physically examine myself and found another on my back and another on the left side of my abdomen. Kindly advise on what I should do next.
Had a bbl done 10 years ago. About a year later i noticed a small hard lump on my left buttox. I went back to surgeon and he advised it was due to lack of massage in that area. I went this year to get an ultrasound done as the mass has become much bigger to a point it is noticeable. Results say I have a lipoma or fibroma that has grown around a small fat necrosis. Is this common w/bbl? What kind of doctor should I consult with to remove it? I do not want another bbl. 8
Hello, I have had 3 back surgeries and still in pain. I have Knots on my lower back on the side that hurts. After many MRI, CT, injections and nothing worksI have been researching theses knots on my back. A pain management dr told me that my cluneal nerves were inflamed . So she injected them . It did work but came back. But there is a underlying cause for them being irritated. I have like a cluster of knots under the skin on that side. I am thinking it is back mice. What kind of dr do I see
I have a small lipoma in my lower back, next to my spine. Most of it was removed when I was 11, now I'm 23. It wasn't totally removed because of possible further damage to the nerves. I'm quite concerned in case of a pregnancy since I've read that changes in hormones can cause them to grow, and not only that, but also menopause. Is there anything I can do?
