Pain and sensitivity usually resolves after surgery. I would discuss the symptoms with your surgeon to see if there are any concomitant problems. Best, Dr. Karamanoukian#Realself100 Surgeon
Thank you for sharing your question. Without photographs it is difficult to offer definite advice as you may be experiencing the normal recovery process after surgery, especially if you only recently had the procedure done. I would recommend reaching out to your surgeon and voicing your concerns, they are in the best position to supply information and reassurance.
How long ago was the lipoma on your head removed? It would not be unusual to have some sensitivity to the area for a few weeks or even a bit longer after the procedure. Normally, this should be improving over time though. If the area is getting more swollen, red or tender, you should see the surgeon who removed your lipoma.
It's common to have prolonged discomfort is surgical sites that have a lot of nerves - like the head. Also, the scalp skin is thick and tight, so those factors together can help explain this. If otherwise uncomplicated this should settle down on its own but you should touch base with your own PS to be sure. I hope that this helps and good luck, Dr. Alan Engler, Member of #RealSelf500
