Rogaine 5% worked after 2 weeks once daily, once switched to every other day it stopped. Will it work again?

Hair hair loss in women is multifactorial. You need to determine the etiology of your hair loss. This can usually be accomplished with a consultation that includes history, examination with magnification and woods light, blood work and possibly biopsy. Rogaine (oral and topical)  is excellent for telogen effluvium and female pattern hair loss. Spironolactone when added has shown to be helpful for female pattern alopecia ( Sinclair). It can take up to 6 months to see results with Rogaine and if you stop using it, you will lose your results. I suggest seeing a hair loss expert now to evaluate and go over your condition and provide you information about your best treatment options. your diagnosis of TE, you first have to treat the underlying cause – ie anxiety,
stress, or whatever it is.    Rogaine
does not work for everyone but you have proven to yourself that it worked in
the past. Keep in mind that Rogaine takes 6 months of daily use before you will
notice a difference.   So, give it more time.

It is good news that you had a positive experience with some increased hair growth the first time you used minoxidil. The manufacturer warns that it is common to have a brief period of mild shedding shortly after beginning treatment. Be patient and continue its use. I would give it a year trial before you give up. Hair improvements are slow, and since you once responded, you should respond in a positive manner again.
