I am a 57 yr female with Alopecia I use Rogain, will the men's work for me?

I was diagnosed October 2016 with Alopecia. Doctor said to use 5% Rogain foam to stop hair loss so I started in November 2016 it works! Now the only store who sells it here has discontinued selling Rogain so I was stuck buying what was left the men's 5% Rogain & before I use it I'm concerned if it will work for me as a female! I use it daily!

Hello, Rogain is a popular choice for hair growth, however, there are other options.  Women are currently not FDA approved for the use of the ARTAS.  However, our use of the ARTAS does suggest that women who are experiencing androgenic alopecia may be good candidates.  As always, women should have a thorough workup including the following:
Trichoscopy- identify type of hair loss Extensive history and labs- rule out other forms of hair loss We use ARTAS with regenerative techniques with women such as PRP and growth factors to help improve overall results.

Rogaine for men may be used by women.  If it is working continue to use it.  If your local store discontinued selling the
Rogaine for women, have you considered ordering it online?

A bottle of Men's 5% Rogaine foam contains the same composition and ingredients as Women's 5% Rogaine foam. Check with your physician on how often to use. These commercial products are interchangable.

This will work as well as the female Rogaine will work. You are lucky that you have good results and should continue the treatment with the 5% mens version
