I am a dancer/pole dance instructor. My doctor offers a 24 hr recovery program. I am going to try my best to stick to it. My question is: how soon can I dance again (without pole)? And how soon can I pole dance again?

Answer: Breast Augmentation Downtime While it is understandable that you do not want to interrupt your exercise routine, it is important to allow your body some time to heal after surgery and minimize any potential complications. For the first week, you should take it easy and rest. Avoid excessive arm movements and using your chest muscles. Light walks after the first few days should be fine. During the second week and third, you may increase walking and gradually begin lower body exercises only as tolerated, still avoiding any major heavy lifting and chest exercises. You can also start incorporating light cardio. You should listen to your body and not do any activities that are painful. After the fourth week, you should be able to resume most normal activities as long as you do not experience pain. Every patient is different and recovery can be different for everyone, so consult with your plastic surgeon for specific recommendations based on your individual situation to ensure a safe recovery. Answer: 24 hour recovery 24 hour recovery means different things to different people. Is your surgeon talking about when you can drive, or when you should stop narcotics, or when you can climb a pole? You'd better make sure you know the answer for sure (not from this site, but from the surgeon that offered you the program). Be sure to discuss your goals and concerns with your board certified plastic surgeon and consider the pros and the cons. Be certain your surgeon is properly certified. I've attached a link where you can start your search.
