Do I need to do a breast lift? And if I do, what height should I put on the nipples? Today it measures 21 cm from the the throat to nipples. I have implants now (400 cc) but I will operate them out (en bloc / explant. Misplaces BII) I had an A / B cup before surgery and did it when I was 22 years old. Today I am 38 years old and have given birth to a child 13 years ago. I experience that I have quite a bit of breast tissue, the skin is thin and has stretch marks.

Answer: Do I need to do a breast lift & if so, what height should I put the nipples? Hello @emmie.lee thank you for your question and showing your picture. Every specialist has different and follow diverse protocols. For me explant or remove breast implants definitely involves a reconstruction of the mammary tissue, in order to achieve the best aesthetic result. Due to the experience of so many explantation surgeries practiced in these 21 years I consider that the L-shaped incision is the minimum and smallest scar possible in this surgery. For more information and recommendations, it is best to consult with one or several board certified plastic surgeons. Best wishes! Alan Gonzalez MD, FACS.

Answer: Breast lift Dear emmie.lee, my preferred lift is a lollipop lift when a periareolar won't do (ie greater than 2cm lift required). The lollipop technique was created by a Canadian plastic surgeon named Elizabeth Hall-Findley and treats the breast as a three dimensional structure instead of two dimensions (anchor - lift). Most importantly it does not require the horizontal component scars that the anchor-lift requires and breasts appear much more natural, lifted, and less boxy. Lastly, the lift lasts longer because the lollipop doesn't rely on the skin to hold the breast up, its actually breast tissue thats being brought together to support the breast and hence improves longevity. If you are considering surgery, I would suggest you consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination, you will get more information and recommendations.
