I am 59 years young and I have 26 yr old silicone implants with a textured finish. I have no children. I went from a 34A cup to a 34 C cup. Now I wear a 34 to 36 DD cup. There is asymmetry. I have researched and want an experienced surgeon in en block 'explant'. The implants were inserted via the axilla route and placed behind the muscle/chest wall. I will consider a breast lift 9mths to a year following explant. Want a surgeon who can repair internally if necessary. Any UK recommended.
I had my implants for 2.5 years and starting this year started to get really sick, decided to remove my implants. I decided to do en bloc capsulectomy but Im really not sure whether I need lift or not? My original doc said he doesnt think i need a lift i should be fine. I have 450cc under the muscle, he thinks im young and skin will bounce back fine. Without lift is less money and less time in OR, leaning for no lift but dont want to regret it? What do you think??
I had very constricted AA breasts. My creases were lowered 2.5 approximately to accomodate 425 cc silicone under the muscle. The tissue was scored around the entire breast. If I have a full capsulectomy, will the area that is currently underboob be sewn back to my chest wall? Or should it NOT be to give me better chances at at least having some normal round breasts?
F40yo wt 20yo breast implants. No records of the surgery, so not sure of implants size, I recall around 300cc, silicon, in front of the muscle. In 2017, a capsule appeared on the left side after taking a hit in a car accident. It got biger (almost one cup size up), harder and painful. I want to remove both capsule and implants, and do lifting. What side effects to expect? Is it possible that taking off the capsule will leave a smaller left than right side? Could it relapse whithout new implants?
This is what I have read about it: helps to ensure removal of the entire implant shell and contents during explantation. Surgically removing the capsule is one of the most powerful steps in removing the footprint of breast implants. The capsule contains cellular and microbial matter, and possibly even silicone particles from a textured implant shell, that may remain after the implant is removed. Removing the capsule en bloc ensures all of this matter is removed thoroughly.
I am considering ex planting 18 year old sub muscular implants with grade 3 cc. The doctor does not send capsules in for pathology and this concerns me because I have many serious symptoms of breast, implant illness, I realize that en bloc is necessary with silicone rupture, but what about symptomatic saline? I have read some new research link in bio film an infection to capsular contractions.I have saline. Should samples be sent to pathology thank you.
I have found varying opinions and reports of removing total (en bloc) or partial capsule removal for BII symptoms. Some surgeons say no difference leaving in or removing. Removing thin capsules not possible and of no benefit as can cause more complications. What scientific evidence if there to support capsule removal for treatment of BII at the time of breast explant. I have mentor textured implants and will be removed within 6-12 months from original BA surgery
Im getting my 8 year old gummy bear ruptured mentor silicone gel 350ccs removed via enbloc / capsulectomy. No lift as of now - I had a lift with implants . Can anyone tell me what size do you think Ill be -or if Im making a mistake not getting a. Lift . Thanks .
