Hi I had dermal filler done by somebody who was incompetent unfortunately and I feel as though I’m overfills I am too scared to dissolve due to the horror stories and I feel it would leave me even more emotionally damaged if something were to happen please can I get some advice regarding my jaw and chin does it look too much also is there a possibility I could be left with some stretched skin I’m 25.
Answer: Need to come in to consult For unique cases where a variety of modalities could be used to treat the condition, I would suggest an in person or virtual consultation to develop a custom and effective treatment plan. It is difficult to precisely define the best option without collecting the same information. I suggest reaching out to an expert for a consultation with surgical and non-surgical methods to get a comprehensive option. Best, Dr. Emer.

Answer: Filler I'm sorry you are unhappy with your filler treatment. You can have it dissolved if you wish with hyaluronidase. This will not leave you with sagging skin. If you do not want to have it dissolved the product will be metabolized gradually over approximately a year depending on the filler used.

Answer: It is possible to dissolve the filler gently instead of aggressively Hi, I hear 2 separate issue, based on your question. One is that dissolving the filler will leave your skin stretched. The other is that the dissolver itself is damaging to the skin, based on stories that you have heard online. For the first concern, at age 25 your skin is young and has good elasticity. Young people with a double chin can have liposuction and the skin contracts nicely without sagging. The amount of fat liposuctioned is much more than a couple of syringes of filler. The chin tissue is pretty thick with fat and muscle so it isn’t just a bag of skin. If I were to dissolve early vs. late to prevent sagging, I would recommend earlier than later. At least wait 2-4 weeks to make sure it isn’t the swelling on top of the filler that you don’t like, but if you still don’t like it, the go ahead and dissolve it. The second concern is the dissolver somehow melting more than just the filler. The dissolver is specifically for hyaluronic acid and can’t dissolve fat. If so, then we wouldn’t need to use a different injectable fat dissolver called Kybella to dissolve fat if the Hyaluronidase actually dissolved fat. In theory people who have eye bags could have their lower eyelid fat dissolved away with the Hyaluronidase if that were true, but it doesn’t dissolve fat. For people who have had filler and fat grafting but couldn’t tell which was which, the Hyaluronidase could dissolve the fat grafting portion. The Hyaluronidase comes in 150 unit/ml and 200 unit/ml vials. It can be diluted down to be less concentrated, but may take more sessions to fully dissolve the undesired filler. Hope this helps to answer your questions. If you are in the UK, look up @drharrisclinic on IG, he seems to be a nice man with ethics and very natural appearing results. Best, Dr. Yang
