This is a follow up question. I thought I was bottoming out but I learned about lateral displacement and I feel my implants sit too low/far apart. And when I lay down, they're basically in my armpits. Should I get a revision? If so - pocket repair, or larger size? I want them to look more augmented or pushed together. (3rd picture - I'm using my hand to push up the implant to desired position). I have 220cc high profile Natrelle placed 7 months ago.

Answer: Implant Displacement Hello, Thank you for your question. You are right. It seems that your implants moving more laterally, may be lower as well. It is up to you to revise it but waiting longer would not improve the results. The wait time for revision/pocket repair is usually 6 months from previous operation. You can also discuss with your surgeon about the implant size. I do not recommend to go much larger. Good Luck!

Answer: Revision This is a complex problem to fix that depends on where the implants are currently (below or above the muscle). This is usually a problem related to overdissection of the pocket at the initial surgery, placing too large of implants, or usually both. I would recommend performing a revision with a small implant and supporting the new tightened pocket with Galaflex scaffold. I would recommend finding a board-eligible or board-certified plastic surgeon with aesthetic surgery fellowship training (a total of 7 years of plastic surgery training). In addition, it helps to have a 3D simulation to see what the potential results are.
