Style 20 Natrelle is a smooth round implant. Smooth implants have not been recalled. Some textured implants have been recalled.
Thanks for your question! These particular implants were not part of the recall list. They are smooth-walled implants, so you have nothing to worry about. Best of luck!
Thank you for sharing your question. No, these implants were smooth walled devices and are not part of the recall. Hope this helps.
Hi. No, your implants are smooth and the ones that were recalled were textured. Style 20 is not part of the group that are textured. Cheers!
The recent FDA requirement for Allergan to stop selling their macro- textured implants and expanders is not a recall. They are not recommending that patients with these devices in already have them automatically removed. They just are not going to allow them to be used for now until more data is obtained. In your case, a style 20 implant has a smooth shell (not a textured shell) so the FDA position does not have a bearing on you. I hope this helps.
This implant has a smooth outer shell and is not part of the textured line that was withdrawn from the market by Allergan.
No. Alleran smooth silicone gel implants (style 10, 15, and 20) are their Natrelle line and have not been recalled. The recall is only for the textured implants and expanders. Also, the “recall” is only for the unused implants on the shelf and there is no recommendation to remove textured implants already implemented in patients. This is a recall of unused Biocell implants (Biocell inventory and sold Biocell products) but not Biocell implants that have been used in patients who are asymptomatic. The FDA does not recommend or suggest that asymptomatic patients be explanted; rather that that the company refrain from selling BIOCELL implants moving forward.
Hi there! Natrelle implants increase in cohesivity from Responsive, Soft Touch and Cohesive. Responsive is going to give you the most natural looking implant. Definitely discuss your concerns with your surgeon. Best of luck!
