Hi, ADodson. Congratulations on your BBL! A lot of doctors do cut the buttock area out of the faja, or use girdles that are already made with cutouts, to reduce pressure on the fat transferred to the buttocks. I don't like to do to this, as I think gentle compressive support helps control post-operative swelling, reduces pain, and helps keep the area more smooth. Your doctor, however, based on his/her experience and perhaps surgical technique, likely has found this practice beneficial for his/her patients. The butt may look weird following a BBL, irrespective of the faja, early on due to swelling and/or tightness of the skin. I would encourage you to discuss your concerns with your PS -- he/she will be able to best determine whether your buttock contour is expected or whether your faja should be modified or not. Best of luck, and I hope you achieve the results you were looking for and that your recovery goes well!
