Which procedure yields the better result for the jawline, cheek area? I have looser skin on my jawline and my jowls are starting to get more pronounced. I have read about thermi tight but I see really mixed reviews and some very scary reviews as well. I researched Profound and it seems to get good reviews on RealSelf. I don't understand the difference between the two. And, which one would yield the best results. Thank you

Answer: ProFound vs. ThermiTight There is quite a large difference. The ThermiTite is Radiofrequency through a small probe that is inserted under the skin, mainly in the jaw line, to melt fat, and tighten the jawline and chin. The newest device, that has taken over this market is the FaceTite or NeckTite. On the majority of patients, fat is suctioned from the chin and jowls if needed. I have done many treatments with the ThermiTite, but I have now upgraded to this new device, the FaceTite. The ProFractional a stamping treatment performed by a handpiece with a series of needles with heat at the tips. This can be done with topical Lidocaine alone, and is often performed by a nurse or aesthetician. The entire, face neck and chest can be treated to improve texture, tone and tightening of the skin can be achieved. Fat is not removed. The ThermiTite is mainly used on the chin and jawline, and may produce a better result than Profractional alone in this area, with only one treatment needed. The other areas of the face, neck and chest can be treated with a series of 3 treatments using ProFractional. Also, ThermiTite can be performed first and then ProFractional over the area in the same treatment, to treat more externally the skin texture. Which you chose depends on your goal. If you pick an experienced physician, they should be able to chose the best device to achieve your goals.
