This review is overdue and much deserved. I have been going to Dr. McLaren for almost a year now, and she is absolutely wonderful. I whole heartedly trust and recommend her for both filler and Dysport. I first started seeing Dr. McLaren for my forehead and glabella lines. After turning 31 in May, I decided it was time to try cheek and lip filler. I couldn't be more pleased with the look. Her level of skill and detail, plus the standard of care she provides is wonderful and I have always left very happy.
Dr. McLaren and her staff are incredible. The detail and care given for my lipo was wonderful as they manage to all aspects of the patient and clearly care about you throughout the process. Dr. McLaren is a very skilled practitioner in her field and in my opinion an artist - something critical in my opinion to be able to have the right vision from start to finish! This was my third lipo with her, from saddle bags to knees to now inner thighs, she has helped me brilliantly and I am extremely grateful for her expert care!
I have gone to Dr. McLaren for the last 12 years. I only trust her to do my botox. She is very honest and has guided me from my 40's to 50's and recently I did CO2 laser. Everyone says I look 40 ! What a compliment to both of us. She is a true artist and will take the time to explain anything you need, I wholeheartedly recommend her.
Dr. McLaren took an hour of her time at no cost to me to educate me the procedures that would be best for me. She's a remarkable doctor and I'm so thrilled with the results. She can do everything and she's incredibly talented.
I have seen Dr. McLaren for a great number of years. She is patient, highly skilled, and definitely an artist to help me with my concerns! From smart lipo to filler she has helped me resolve my "aging issues" with absolute professionalism (even telling me when I did not need something). I don't know what I'd do without her and trust her immensely!
I had smart lipo done on my chin/neck area to get rid of the extra skin I had under my chin. Easy to do - easy to heal. I was numb there for a good 6 mos but as the healing happened, the better it looked. The doctor I chose also happened to be my general doctor 10 years before so I completely trusted her. She will be where I go for fillers when I decide on those.
I've always struggled with acne, i had little relief with hormones & proactive. It was alright for a few years, but I recently had a huge flair up due to some bad skin care product I started using. I decided to do PDT w/levulan and am so glad I did. My skin is so much better! I have no active acne anymore (Seriously) and my poor size has improved so much. Cons: The first few days after are pretty brutal. I was red, swollen, had little white heads all over that I had to deal with. I looked like I had a severe sun burn. Also you must must must not go outside. Even a quick walk to my car was super painful bc it kept reactivating the Levulan which made my face feel on fire. Couldn't wear makeup for the first 4 days. Had to use Gross aquafor. Pros: I only did one treatment and saw such a dramatic improvement. Better than having to take an antibiotic. You can still use whatever skin care line you are used to after the fact. If you can stand the first 4-7 days after it is totally worth it. I had such a great response.
I always don’t understand when people write their reviews about the procedure but then overall just talk about how nice the staff was and how wonderful that the doctor took some time to educate them or explain things. Hello! These are things that every competent doctor should do, and obviously every salon must treat you with respect and be nice... and all this never makes up for bad work. I went to this doctor multiple times and had to buy multiple syringes of product when everything could have been done with one, had the doctor been professional. Unfortunately she couldn’t provide me with symmetrical face by injecting several times in wrong spots and making my face look uneven. Getting same injections done not once I know HOW the results from better doctors look like and WHERE the filler is usually placed. At this clinic the fillers were placed absolutely not in the right spot which made my face look worse after the procedure. I always think that the facial injector’s own face is his/hers business card. What to say, when the person who is going to inject your face has obvious disproportion and presumably unfortunate result of injections that are very noticeable to a client - that makes it very uncomfortable to begin with. Aaaand the result was of course very sequential - I had to spend much more than I could have plus my face has a very noticeable defect now...But overall yeah, people were nice there...
It’s taken me a while to write this but I feel that women or men should know what happened to me. I heard about Dr Mclaren, From Colorado’s best. So I thought she was probably a good doctor if there accrediting her. I made a consult and seen her for extra fat on my stomach and sides. She suggested doing both Vaser Lipo and j plazsty, the videos and pictures of there advertising obviously looked good. So I finally talked my husband into letting me get this done because it was a huge investment. Long story short, I had the procedures and she also recommended getting massages after which you pay more for. After returning for my follow up, I saw no change at all. It was worse I had hard lumps and she just said I was a hard case but it takes time. I kept going back nothing changed for the 7000 we paid her. I was so sad and was left with a terrible looking stomach and sides that looked worse. She even tried a kybella treatment on my stomach saying it would help. It did not. I finally asked please is there anything she can do and she said yes I have another procedure you can pay for that’s so he same price. I went back and called several times to see if she would do anything to help me and got the same answers. I have cried so much. A part of my body that I was so self confident is worse now. I even feel more self confident, this has changed my life in a terrible way. Thank can’t even get in a bathing suit now. I’m horrified and just broken from this. I hope anyone looking does research and sees there is not one photo on the reviews and gets something signed saying they guarantee to help you. Not just told by mouth.
Cool sculpting did not work for me & neither did Sculpsure. I have dense fat compared to other women who have looser/flabby fat. If you have dense fat like me I don't see this working for you either. Something that truly works is laser lipo & I highly recommend it! Wish I would have skipped everything else & just did that.
There is quite a large difference. The ThermiTite is Radiofrequency through a small probe that is inserted under the skin, mainly in the jaw line, to melt fat, and tighten the jawline and chin. The newest device, that has taken over this market is the FaceTite or NeckTite. On the majority of patients, fat is suctioned from the chin and jowls if needed. I have done many treatments with the ThermiTite, but I have now upgraded to this new device, the FaceTite. The ProFractional a stamping treatment performed by a handpiece with a series of needles with heat at the tips. This can be done with topical Lidocaine alone, and is often performed by a nurse or aesthetician. The entire, face neck and chest can be treated to improve texture, tone and tightening of the skin can be achieved. Fat is not removed. The ThermiTite is mainly used on the chin and jawline, and may produce a better result than Profractional alone in this area, with only one treatment needed. The other areas of the face, neck and chest can be treated with a series of 3 treatments using ProFractional. Also, ThermiTite can be performed first and then ProFractional over the area in the same treatment, to treat more externally the skin texture. Which you chose depends on your goal. If you pick an experienced physician, they should be able to chose the best device to achieve your goals.
I do a lot of SculpSure treatments, but when I am consulting on someone with obesity issues, I try to determine their expectations both financially and the type of result they would like to achieve. Most patients with obesity will need to see a 3 inch or greater reduction over an area larger than the 4 treatment heads cover. A typical abdomen can require 3 or more treatments and a minimum of 12 laser heads to cover the area to see approximately 1 inch reduction, in 1 session. If 3 or more inches is needed, then this would require a total of 36 laser heads or 12 treatments in 3 sessions total to see some difference. CoolSculpt has the same limitations. This would likely cost twice the price of in office liposculpting which can be done while you are awake in the office and would offer a superior result. Make sure you are offered a consult with a physician to help you choose the right procedure for you.
This is an important question to address at your consult. While there is not a limit on treatments, you should pick a procedure that will get you to your goals within a reasonable cost. Usually 2 to 3 treatments are needed per area for a 2 to 3 inch fat reduction. If more than 3 treatments per area are needed to have you arrive at your desired goal (more than 3 inch reduction) then a better and cheaper alternative may be in office liposculpting which can be done in less than 2 hours while you are awake, and only one treatment is needed. Having a consult with the physician to go over your options is key in helping you make the right decision.
Because many clinics can have an aesthetician or medical assistant perform SculpSure, you should do your homework first. Many clinics have aestheticians perform the procedure, but will have the physician first decide if you are a good candidate and explain if and where the laser heads should be placed. Not everyone is a good candidate. SculpSure does not treat loose skin areas without subdermal fat, or abdominal fat which is underneath the muscle. Also this treatment will reduce around 1 inch per treatment, so if 3 or more inches is the desired result over an entire abdomen or back, it may be easier and cheaper to do one treatment of Vaser Liposulpting in the office while you are awake and be done with the process in a few hours. My advice is to go to a clinic where the physician does your consult and then oversees the treatment plan and procedure done by the office staff. You deserve to get your money's worth and the best result possible!
I believe ThermiVa is a true breakthrough for women who have had breast cancer and resulting dryness and irritation due to lack of moisture which often occurs. Moisture and lubrication can improve significantly after just one treatment and the vaginal tightening that may occur is a second significant benefit. Many of my patient's partners have commented that they have noticed a significant difference during intercourse as a result of increased vaginal tightening.
