I had my legs wrapped and was off my feet for the 2-3 days after the injections. On Sunday, I had several pea-sized knots that have come up on my leg behind the knee. The center that did the treatment is closed for the holidays and they said I could go to the emerency room. I called but they aren't familiar with the procedure or the drug used. Is it normal for these knots to appear? Are they blod clots that I should be concerned about?
Answer: Normal lumps It is normal depending on the size of the vein to get little lumps after sclerotherapy and this can happen quite often. We usually recommend coming back within a week or so after the procedure to have these veins nicked with a tiny needle and these tiny clots expressed. IF they are not removed, they often can cause discoloration of the skin and take a long time to fade. You should return to the place that injected you and discuss aspiration of these micro thrombi

Answer: Bumps after Sclero What you are describing are tiny blood clots that form in the treated veins. These can resolve on their own but will take some time and may result in hyperpigmentation in the area. Also, you can go back to the center and they may be able to remove the clot with a tiny needle and pressure. .
