Hydrafacial before micro needling PRP on the same day? (Photo)

We have experienced tremendous results while paring the two treatments.  The hydrafacial preps the skin by clearing out pores and removing dead skin cells before the microneedling procedure.  We also like to pair dermaplaning with hydrafacials.

Hi, thank you for your question. Yes, you can receive both treatments in one day. Hydrafacial is to be done before the microneedling PRP treatment. It is a great treatment to prep your skin to receive maximum results. We recommend that you see a certified Hydrafacial esthetician specialist and a licensed registered nurse for theses types of treatments.

Combination treatments such as doing a HydraFacial prior to CO2 fractional laser resurfacing is a great treatment plan.  Prepping the skin at home with Retinol such as the ones made by Skin Medica or the time released retinol by Sente help shed and smooth the dead skin layers prior to non-ablative lasers that refine large pores.Cleaning and clearing out the pores prior to microneedling is another great way to get a better long-term result.Hope this helps.  Good luck.

Extractions or  light exfoliation is fantastic before micro needling. It is a great way to prep the skin for a treatment. Microneedling is great for tightening the pores and resurfacing any acne scarring. After your skin has healed from your treatment , I would recommend a homecare  regimen that includes a retinol 3 times a week to keep your pores tight. Thanks for your question !

Considering that you have 2 separate skin concerns, I think doing combination therapy would be great! Starting with the Hydrafacial to prep and clean your skin of any congestion prior to microneedling is a great idea. Depending on the amount of congestion, you may want to do more than one space 2-3 weeks apart and I would wait at least one week to move forward with Microneedling same day may be too much for the skin at once. I personally like the results of doing both a week apart.

Questions about combination treatments are always great for discussion.  Given the condition of your skin, blackheads and congestion, I think that the hydrafacial is a great idea.  The Hydrafacial will prepare the skin for the extractions and will extract much of the dirt and oil with the vortex technology and softening action of the hydroxy acids used in the treatment.  You may want to do a couple of these procedures to deep cleanse the skin, exfoliate and remove blackheads.  When the pores are clean, micro needling can begin to refine the skin further.  Another alternative for pore size is the Clear and Brilliant laser which has been proven to reduce the number and size of pores.
