Difference between hydra facial and peeling?

Am a 34 years old lady with un even skin , i have darker skin tone around my lips and some scars from acne on my cheecks, my skin was always clear and nice and even going through this decided to pay a visit to a therapist (not sure if a dermatologist). she adviced me to go for 3 peeling sessions and then 3 hydrafacial sessions afterwards. i come to know that both treatments are similar infact people advice to go for hydrafacial more than peeling as its saver !! can you tell the difference ?

If your main skin care concerns are darker skin tone and acne scaring, I would recommend prepping your skin first with a hydrafacial that uses add on's like Britenol, which helps with pigmentation and overall brightening of your skin tone. Then, after your skin is prepped and ready do a series of three VI peels. It's important to have your Dr. or Esthetician look at your skin and examine the best course of action for you.

Our treatments use combination therapy to improve the epidermis and dermis. We see atrophic and hypertrophic scars, as well as scars that have hypo and hyperpigmentation. Our main concern is rebuilding collagen and that is why we use a HIDEF protocol that includes combination therapy. Morpheus 8, scar subcision, fibrous release, fractional laser, CO2 laser, Thulium laser, PDL Vbeam laser, and fractional resurfacing can be used in addition to TCA Cross and chemical peels to further improve skin. Depending on how deep your scars are, you may need a medium-depth chemical peel. The hydrafacial can help with some pigmentation concerns, but most likely will not help with the scars. Hydrafacial is a great treatment to combine with other treatments such as skin pen, chemical peels, and lasers for optimal results.

Hydrafacial involves a light chemical peel. There are also serums that help with pigmentation. Superficial chemical peels have been a longstanding go to for improving pigmentation. There are a wide variety of peels available based on your skin type and condition to be addressed. Consultation with your doctor in conjunction with the aesthetician should lead to a safe regimen for your skin type.

So a hydra facial is more useful for skin texture and also pores/breakouts and preventing those.  A peel is more of a skin resurfacing type of tool which can do the same but also is helpful in collagen production and dermal rejuvenation.  So long answer short its not a one or the other thing but instead both because they do different things for the skin.

The Hydra Facial peel is very light and gentle.  We typically use the Hydra Facial to prep the skin for laser treatments and other facial rejuvination treatments.  There are many different peels for different skin types and conditions and are great for lightening pigment.  The Hydra Facial also has a Britenol Booster that helps with hyperpigmentation.  Without seeing your skin its hard to say but they are both very good treatment options.

an optimal result, your physician and an aesthetician should examine
your skin and help determine what peels and treatments will work best for
your skin type and specific concerns. Chemical peels can be very beneficial for
addressing pigment as well as light resurfacing so they can easily help address
the concerns you mentioned. Hydrafacials have a very light peel step but will
not do much to help with addressing more prominent pigment and/or
scarring. In my practice, we use Hydrafacials as more of a way to deep clean the
face to give you a nice glow before an event and for
skin maintenance. Chemical peels, along with the correct skin care
regimen, can be used as a way of prepping the skin for a more aggressive
procedure such as Fraxel and/or to tackle the major concerns of our patients. Without examining you, I cannot comfortably recommend a treatment plan for you but hopefully the info I provided in this answer will help educate you so that you can evaluate what your providers are suggesting for you.
