I have to admit, I've never heard this before. I can think of no reason why that would happen because that would involve the facial nerve since it supplies the muscles of the face. It is highly unlikely that a Hydrafacial caused trauma to the facial nerve. One could develop fasiculations (spasms) if the facial nerve was irritated or damaged, but he intensity of the Hydrafacial unit is not strong enough to cause that. I understand your thinking, but it remains that the Hydrafacial unit is not going to do that.Something else is going on to cause your spasms and without talking to you and examining you, it would be a challenge to tell you what is really happening. For example, if you've ever had or are developing Bell's Palsy, you could have accompanying muscle spasms in your face. There are other causes as well. As far as the electrical pain in your face and development of visible capillaries, that is probably related to the Hydrafacial unit having the suction too strong. Have you contacted the person who did your Hydrafacial? I would suggest you doing that because there are options to help get rid of the capillaries and redness. Dr. Knott
