Yes, microneedling and hydrafacial treatments are excellent independently however can work in conjunction to boost overall collagen stimulation and outcome. For same day treatment, we recommend beginning with the hydrafacial followed by microneedling.
Given the condition of your skin and what it can handle the combination of microneedling and HydraFacial could have the potential to work wonders if done in the right way. HydraFacial MD isa great treatment to prep skin for most treatments as it extracts dirt, oil, & impurities with its vortex technology and also infuses hydration, antioxidants, and light acids into the skin. Typically this combination can work in two ways: 1) Combination of the two treatments spaced apart every otherweek or every two weeks to maximize your results. 2) HydraFacial immediately AFTER yourmicroneedling treatment. Why? Microneedling creates open channels in the skin allowing products you use after to have better absorption into the skin, because HydraFacial infuses hydration/antioxidants back into the skin it is ideal to be done immediately after so you receive those benefits. We have also noticed in our office that when HydraFacial is done right after microneedling it decreases the downtime. Make sure you are going to an experienced provider whocan customize the HydraFacial properly. There are many different acid strengths and when a high percentage is used you may experience some light peeling. Best of luck!
In my experience, we recomend doing the Microneedling first and then about one week later do the Hydrafacial. The reason why would be to exfoliate and hydrate the skin after the microneedling has healed. Then your skin is left hydrated and its starting to rebuild collagen.
Yes combining treatments can definitely be done and can also give enhanced results. For Hydrafacial and Microneedling, I would recommend starting with HydraFacial and then microneedling with the AntiOx Solution to allow enhanced absorption of the active ingredients in that solution , such as the Hylauronic Acid for hydration and moisturizing of skin.
Combination therapy many times leads to improved results. In regards to combining Hydrafacial and microneedling at the same session, this could be true if the indication is collagen induction plus clarity of skin (for example acne and acne scarring together). However, if you are doing Hydrafacial and microneedling to better control acne and/or for clearer skin, I would suggest alternating and doing them separately to enjoy longer lasting results. Microneedling can reduce sebum production (ie make the skin less oily) and enhance delivery of topical treatments to the skin. Hydrafacial can extract clogged pores and remove the most superficial layer of the skin while infusing a clarifying solution. Either treatment should lead to clearer skin independently for about 4-6 weeks at which point another session would be warranted. If used in combination, results may be enhanced but the longevity of clearer skin would likely remain at 4-6 weeks.
Yes you can have both treatments on the same day. Hydrafacial first followed by microneedling. I would suggest having the hydra facial and waiting 7-10 days for the microneedling treatment for best results.
Yes! But Hydrafacial should be done first. Having the Hydrafacial done first can cut down on the chance of a breakout after a microneedling treatment and also reduce the amount of dryness you feel post treatment. Depending on your skin type, a low percentage of chemical peel should be used.
Yes, you can safely combine the Hydrafacial MD with microneedling the same day. We would recommend treating with the Hydrafacial MD first, prior to microneedling, as a skin 'prep' so-to-speak. This will enhance the overall results. We find that this combination is a great way to clarify and brighten the skin while stimulating collagen for a longer lasting benefit.
In answer to your question, yes a Hydrafacial MD treatment can definately be combined with other treatments. In regard to microneedling the combination of the two is like a super facial. While some practices will do in different orders we prefer CIT (microneedling) to be done after the Hydrafacial MD treatment. We like this order as the microneedling is being done on fresh clean surface and we use serums with microneedling to infuse into and don't want them then extracted by doing a face cleaning after. All the hydrafacials include a "peel" as even the Gysol Prep is a very mild peel to help break up the bonds, so depending on the reaction to the "peel" chosen if its your first time we would just make sure after the hydrafacial your skin feels ok and isn't having any reaction that the microneedle would irritate further.
The quick answer to your question is yes, you can do both on the same day, but I would not recommend that if you want the optimal result. I don't blame you, instant results is always great, but patience in this case is best. If you were to undergo both on the same day, I would get the Hydrafacial first followed by microneedling. Remember, that is not your best option. The best option is to undergo microneedling initially followed by a Hydrafacial a week to ten days later. The microneedling works at a deeper level than the Hydrafacial and rejuvenating the deeper skin structures first, followed by exfoliation later, will get you better results. Find a clinic that has a good track record in skin rejuvenation evidenced by good results. Most clinics overseen or owned by board certified plastic surgeons or dermatologists are a good place to look. Dr. Knott
