Probably yuo'll be happy with just tip rhinoplasty; your tip needs reduction, shortening and refinement of the bulbous and cleft alar cartilages.
It is extremely rewarding to be able to help elevate a patients self esteem when I can adequately address an issue that the patient has been concerned with for quite some time. It is important, however, in circumstances of low self esteem to make certain that the patient understands the limits to the changes of their nose they can expect even in the hands of an experienced rhinoplasty surgeon, and even more important for the surgeon to convey that even in the most successful outcomes, self esteem may not only be about the appearance of the nose. In your particular case, a single profile view from a distance does show a bit of a prominant nose and somewhat of a hypoplastic chin, it would be difficult to comment on just how severe either of these issues are and what changes you can expect from rhinoplasty and/or chin implant surgery.
From the appearance of your photo, it seems that you would benefit from a tip-plasty and, potentially, a chin implant, for enhancement of your profile. It is not a painful procedure for the vast majority of patients and cost is variable, depending on many factors, such as length of procedure and insurance coverage for medical breathing issues. If you are bothered by your profile so much, then you should definitely go to a consultation and see what your options are.
surelly will improve with autologus bridge cartilage augmentation and doing and listening carefully what the patient wish and might be possible for us, the goal always it is not looks the results, artifitial or unrealist if not the most natural way
The photograph demonstrates an overly projecting nose, and an under projecting chin. A rhinoplasty procedure can address de-projecting the nose, refining the tip and bridge line. A chin implant can be performed to give added augmentation to the chin to help with facial balance and proportions. Both procedures will help with the side profile significantly. For many examples, please see the link and the video below
The question is not whether your nose can be made smaller but by how much and is that enough by your goals. That assessment can not be determined by one side view picture alone. You would need to have pictures from different angles imaged to see what realistically can be done. It is clear however that your chin is short and a chin augmentation would benefit your profile.
One profile photo is not enough to properly assess your nose. I think that a discussion in person should be had regarding your main concerns.
Hi, please share this answer with your parents if your are under 18 years of age. I understand that things can be confusing when trying to evaluate what you like and don't like about your appearance. From the attached photo, the profile is seems "off" based upon the weakness of the chin and not by the size of the nose. When the chin lacks the proper anterior (front facing) projection, this can make the nose appear larger than it truly is. A weak chin also causes disharmony and an unbalance of the entire lower face. For that reason, chin augmentation with a chin implant would be the primary source of action in my humble opinion. The nose does appear to have a wide tip that could be refined with a Rhinoplasty at the same time. Hope this helps. You can learn more about the aesthetics of facial beauty in the book that I published on the subject.
People commonly don't like their profile because of the shape or size of their nose, so you are not alone! It is often a source of anxiety, poor confidence, and low self esteem. And since it is part of one's face, it is not something easily disguised or camouflaged. The fix is nose reshaping surgery, called rhinoplasty. Rhinoplasty takes about 2-3 hours to perform (unless it is a revision rhinoplasty), and can cost anywhere from $5,000-10,000 depending on your geographic area, and the surgeon you select. According to RealSelf, the average cost in the U.S. is $6975.It is difficult to tell exactly what you might require from the one image you sent, but during a rhinoplasty consultation, your nose will be examined thoroughly and you'll have ample opportunity to discuss what you dislike about your nose with a plastic surgeon. During the visit, photographs are taken of your nose from 7 different views (standard views for rhinoplasty). With these images, your new profile can be "created" and you can see what a rhinoplasty would likely do for your look. And if you decide to have surgery, it is important to know that rhinoplasty is NOT very painful, in fact, most patients indicate "discomfort" than pain. So don't let your fear of pain get in the way of your decision making. Best of luck with your transformation!
A rhinoplasty procedure properly evaluated, explained and executed can boost self esteem. Placing the nose in proportion to the rest of your face is paramount. Of course, a consultation is necesssary to examine both the internal and external components of the nose. Your photograph is only one view. I would need to see more than one view. The cost will vary with the amount of work that is involved. The next step for you is to schedule a consultation to begin the process.
Dear Totti, For your clinical post and photos it does appear that the left side of your nose, where the osteotomy, or fracture lines, were performed, has resulted in a slight fracture fragment collapse and elevation. It is important to remember that during the phase of the rhinoplasty where...
No, you should not be worried. If it is only a stitch fragment, you might be able to rub it out. Otherwise, see your plastic surgeon.
Thanks for the question. You can wear your piercing after 6 years. In my practice 1-2 months is enough time to wait. Then, if you talk to your surgeon and get approval, there is no obstacle to having a piercing. I wish you all the best.
