Should I get a rhinoplasty if I only want a small change?

If a person only want a small change should they still get surgery? Is it worth the expense if they don't need a major change? Do you have an ideal candidate?

Hello,Assuming that you are asking about strickly aesthetic rhinoplasty, the answer to your question is that no one "needs" rhinoplasty.Subtle rhinoplasty is an excellent procedure for patients who are bothered by an aspect of their nose, but don't want to have major changes to their nose and appearance.  Examples would be a small hump on profile in an otherwise nice looking nose, or a tip that is a little to bulbous for the rest of the nose, or a nose that is too thin in the mid-third that a narrow spreader graft would help.If whatever concerns you about your nose bothers you enough, then it is definitely worth undergoing a subltle rhinoplasty to achieve your nasal aesthetic goals for the rest of your life.Make sure to choose your rhinoplasty surgeon most carefully!!! You should go for a Consultation about your nose and see what the surgeon recommends. Rhinoplasty typically starts at $5,500 depending on the area you live. To make sure you get the best possible result, the surgeon should perform a detailed exam of the nose and provide a realistic goal that you and your surgeon agree upon. Good question!  No one needs a Rhinoplasty.  The patient who gets a Cosmetic Rhinoplasty is usually one that is concerned about his or her looks.  They may be embarrassed by a large, deformed nose.  A women may desire a soft feminine look, while a man may just want to look handsome.  If you are interested in Rhinoplasty, consult with a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon who is highly experienced, for an in person exam to discuss your expectations.  Best to you!
