Is my first time with upper eyelid fillers and I don't know what to do. I have 2 specialists in mind. One of the offers me fillers that can last between 1 or 2 years. The other one offers fillers that can last 5 years. To be honest I'm seeking a more permanent solution but I don't know if is better to try first the short term ones and next year get the long term ones. How much filler is necessary for my eyelids?
Answer: Orbital filler Dear ForSands: Thank you for your questions and your photographs. You have obviously done your research. The Orbit can be a dangerous and difficult area for filler. Increased risk of complications include stroke and blindness. I recommend consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon who is an expert injector. I also would use an HA filler that could be dissolved if needed. I would also ask about a rescue kit and any prior problems. I would inquire as to a contingency plan with an Ophthalmologist should there be an issue.. I would never use a long lasting filler in the orbit other than fat. I hope this is helpful and wish you good luck with all your cosmetic treatments whatever you decide! Hope this helps!

Answer: Upper eyelid filler Always use a temporary HA filler initially in an area such as this. In general, a delicate area like this should be treated with these types of fillers, even going forward, as reversibility is key if the result is not desirable. A microcannula should be used for injection.
