Well after years of having a 32A cup after breastfeeding my last child 7yrs ago, it was time to bring my woman hood back! I couldn’t be happier! 32A to 34C. 355cc for a natural look on my small frame.
Dr. Metzinger is actually triple board certified. I was amazed by all the certifications, awards, diplomas and degrees this man has!! February, actually last week, he did my explant. He is a very smart doctor and takes every precaution to make sure you don’t get an infection. My explant went very smooth and went home the same night. Minimal pain and up and moving the next day. I haven’t found a triple board certified doctor anywhere near me. A big thanks to his staff who are also pretty great themselves. He has a great bedside manner as well.
He is an amazing doctor with an amazing staff. I love how he is truly concerned about your overall health first! He gave me absolutely what I asked for and even better than what I thought possible. I consulted with several other doctors and he was the most thorough and knowledgeable of all and was able to tell me what to expect with the process. You will no be disappointed.
I wanted to update viewers about my experience with Dr. Metzinger and his staff. My insurance company approved my claim request. I was trying to file this claim myself. This didn't come easy; I had no idea of the difficulty invoked! Without hesitation, the office administrator came to my rescue! What an exceptional person. 99% of other office adminastrators would not have even considered helping me. When I gave my illness to Jesus to handle, He led me not only to Dr. Metzinger, but to a family of caring people. His head nurse and office administrator even helped me file for financial assistance when my house flooded! I've been to many doctors and had many procedures and I have never come across such a prodigious group!
Dr. Metzinger literally gave me my life back! Any woman who has had breast implants from over ten years ago must read my story... I had saline breast implants under the muscle back in 1995 by a great doctor in Baton Rouge. He has since passed away. I started feeling a little "achey" around 2005. My hands felt arthritic and my lower back was starting to hurt. By and by, I decided to visit a rheumatologist. He ran several tests and had a MRI done on my lower back. Nothing was wrong! Puzzled, I would continue to see him as my symptoms became worse. He diagnosed me with Fibromyalgia! Over the years things became so bad that I couldn't sit, stand or walk for too long. My husband and I divorced because I just didn't "feel like" going anywhere. (We never really thought it was the "fibromyalgia.") I was awarded social security disability and went from a respected respiratory therapist with a very nice home and family to doing nothing at all (except watching tv and sleeping all day.) From 2013 until now, I visited with a doctor who specializes in Fibro 3 hours away. Since I couldn't ride for that long, I would stay at a hotel in the middle then continue the next day to my appointment. I have had every test run known to mankind and have taken every drug, even for "off label" purposes. It was all trial and error. I became so miserable that I gave it all to Jesus... I was done. About two months ago, I brought my mom into see Dr. Metzinger for her eyelids interfering with her vision. The Dr. and I started chatting and I mentioned that I had breast implants. He asked who did them and when did I have it done. When I said "1995," his eyes opened wide. He proceeded to show me pictures of implants he had removed along with the "capsule" or scar tissue. My jaw dropped. They were full of fungus! He told me that these ladies complained of aches, pain & stiffness like fibromyalgia. I then jumped in and told him about my history. He slowly shook his head and explained that back then the implants were only warrantied for 10 years. The saline implants had valves on them and become leaky over time. He was willing to bet that my implants were the cause of my illness. Well, I looked at it this way: regardless, it was time to take them out, so I scheduled my surgery right away. Now two years prior I did call the office where my first doctor worked and asked the nurse if they had to come out. She told me "No, as long as you're not having any problems." Dr. Metzinger said "But you ARE having problems." I guess I was just thinking in terms of how they looked and felt. Not my other issues. After my surgery last week, Dr. Metzinger found a calcified mass the size of a man's fist under my left implant. It was so hard that he had to cut it off my chest wall! It was also present inside the bag. He cleaned me out put in drain ports, took biopsies, cut out the scar tissue and sent it all to pathology! Now I don't know what they will find, but it will be something that should not have been there! I began to feel better immediately! After 10 years of just existing, I was almost scared to think I was better. Ladies, please, if you're feeling fatigued or like you're living with the flu, and you have implants START with Dr Metzinger! Some women are actually allergic to the bag which is silicone. Yes, silicone is safe, but for how long? This intelligent man knows what he's talking about. I always thought contaminated implants were rare... not so! I've seen the many pictures to prove it. I am proof myself. He is very friendly and the staff is outstanding. The nurse even called to check on me everyday including the WEEKEND! Today's implants are good for 20 years and are prefilled and inserted not with a sterile gloved hand, but with an instrument that is definitely sterile. I hope that my testimony helps many of you. I would never consider another doctor, ever. Thank you Dr. Metzinger, for literally giving me a life!! I'm a repeat patient of Dr. Metzinger. He performed breast augmentation on me in 2014 with lipo of the abdomen, and breast explant/mastopexy with a breast lift when I decided I no longer wanted implants in 2016. Each time he did an amazing job! I wouldn't feel comfortable with any other surgeon. His staff are professional and courteous, and they accommodated me whenever I needed an appointment. Great service! Updated on 22 Nov 2016: Approximately 6 months post maxopexy/ removal of implants and a breast lift. I'm very happy with the results, continuing to massage scar tissue and use scar cream, taking vitamin e.
I highly recommend Dr. Metzinger and staff. He is a very professional and very caring doctor and puts his patients' health as top priority. He spends plenty of time with you during your visit and constantly asks if you have any questions. I would arrive at each appointment with a list of questions and every question was already answered before I asked my questions. He was extremely thorough. His staff was absolutely wonderful also and very very helpful! I recommend this doctor to everyone who wants a doctor to take great care of them and puts their health as his number one priority over making money.
Dr. Metzinger me hizo mi Tummy Tuck, Breast Augmentation, liposucción y ahora mi mini Face Lift. Te lo recomiendo, no te arrepentirás.
My surgery results were just as I had asked. My breasts look so real and natural, I am extremely pleased with the results. The day of surgery, I was made as comfortable as possible, and was met with a caring and professional nursing staff. My recovery time was just as expected, and all went smoothly. His office staff is very caring and welcoming. The doctor is very sweet and professional, and truly is concerned about all his patients. I would highly recommend Dr. Metzinger.
After a horse related accident, the left side of my face was pushed in and bones were broken. Through my regular doctor I found dr. Metzinger. After carefully reviewing my scans, he suggested surgery would be the only good option. Dr. Metzinger took his time explaining what he would do and the fabulous staff helped me with the paperwork. The next day he made time to perform the surgery. The nurses really put me at ease and I was very well taken care off. They called me every day after surgery and I saw dr. Metzinger once a week. The result are unbelievable! He made sure I will not have any visible scarring and now after only 4 weeks its hard to tell anything has happened! I'm extremely happy with the outcome and would recommend dr. Metzinger to anyone who is looking for the best surgeon in Louisiana!
Dear amdelarosa: Thank you for your questions. I am sorry to hear about the problems you are experiencing. Keep in mind that you are asking a question that is currently controversial; do not be surprise if you received very different responses from different sources and if responses change over the course of the next few years. Some general thoughts may be helpful to you. There are a very small subset of patients who feel that their breast implants contribute to a variety of illnesses. This phenomenon has been discussed since the 1960s and has been termed human adjuvant disease, silicone induced human adjuvant disease, autoimmune/inflammatory syndrome induced by adjuvants and silicone implant incompatibility syndrome. Today, systemic symptoms possibly associated with silicone breast implants involve the central nervous system, musculoskeletal system, immune and inflammatory systems, GI and GU systems, psychological system, and the cardiorespiratory sound systems. The term breast implant illness is being used to describe the variety of symptoms thought to be possibly associated with silicone breast implants. You will find, that there is no consensus among plastic surgeons, whether or not there is a link between breast implants and the medical conditions of concern. In other words, as of today, there is no scientific "causation" shown thus far. The main theory currently involves a complex interaction of breast implant material with the patient's immune system, Involvement of bacteria/mycobacteria/fungal/virus/other adjuvants (known as Biofilms) as well as the patient's specific genetic makeup. It is theorized that the "wrong combination" of these parameters may lead to autoimmune disease and/or other associated systemic symptoms. However, personally having worked with many patients who have presented with concerns regarding breast implant illness, I think (as thoughtful and humble) physicians, it is important to keep an open mind (even though there is no definitive scientific demonstration of breast implants and specific illnesses except for a very rare lymphoma) and remember (again) that we may very likely not have a full understanding of breast implants and the potential interactions that may occur with each patient's unique biology. It is clear, based on the literature and my own anecdotal experience, that a significant percentage of patients who undergo breast implant removal surgery (and capsulectomy) do experience improvement in symptomatology. On the other hand, a similarly significant percentage of patients continue to experience symptoms despite breast implant removal/capsulectomy surgery. Generally, I encourage patients in my practice who have concerns about "breast implant illness" to undergo complete medical workups, and seek second/third opinions (internists, neurologists, rheumatologists, endocrinologists...) as needed. I believe in my heart that if these problems are caused by a Biofilm it is best to remove the entire capsule. I try to do this in an en bloc fashion if possible. Good luck and I hope this helps!
Dear CJ92: Thank you for your questions and please don't be frightened. Knowledge is power. You are correct to take breast implantation seriously. Breast implants 'illness'. is chronic pain starting in the chest from a microscopic layer of bacteria over the implant. This is called a Biofilm. It is cured by removing the implants and the capsule(scar tissue) surrounding the implant and treating the bacteria with culture specific antibiotics.Anaplastic large cell lymphoma is associated with textured implants so I do not use these. Allergan has issued a recall of there textured implants So far 33 deaths worldwide have been reported. It is thankfully a small number;however, If you have something in your body that potentially down the road could cause cancer would you want it remove? I would, so use smooth implants! Most women have their implants removed because they are too big for their body so be sure your implants are proportionate to your body. This also reduces the risk of complications. Good luck and I hope this helps! Always use a board certified plastic surgeon!
Dear sunandmoon666: Thank you for your questions and photographs. I believe you need to meet with your board certified plastic surgeon or facial plastic surgeon and have a detailed discussion about what you want and what is possible. You should discuss in great detail the risks, benefits, potential complications, alternative treatments and imponderables. Remember that computer imaging can sometimes exceed what the body and surgeon are capable of producing. Realistic expectations! Improvement not perfection! Good luck and I hope this helps!
Dear Bella1234590: Thank you for your question and photographs. It is possible that structural fat grafting may conceal the clitoral hood more, but it is unlikely to make you satisfied. It appears that you have extra tissue on your clitoral hood, which can be further reduced. An in person consultation would be necessary to be more precise. A clitoropexy with clitoral hood reduction in which the clitoris is pushed closer to the pubic bone and the width, thickness, length, and protuberance of the clitoral hood can be decreased. These two procedures ( Fat grafting & Clitoropexy) will offer improvement but not a total concealed look. Please consult with a board certified Plastic Surgeon or Urologist with female genital rejuvenation experience. Good luck and I hope this helps!
Dear Mag5: Thank you for your questions and photographs. Your are only 3 weeks post-operative, it will take several more months before you see your final result. A little bit of asymmetry is normal, your breasts most likely will drop into place, but it will take some time. Be sure to follow your surgeons post operative instructions and try to be patient. Ask about massage. Good luck and I hope this helps.
