What is the best method to get rid of axillary breast tissue and price range? (photos)

I'm a very athletic built woman. I'm 5"7, 140lbs, I have so much extra breast in my armpit it is completely embarrassing. When I get measured my cup is a size a, but I have to go up a cup because if not all of my excessive breast tissue would be out. It also goes all the way around to my back. I've read about micro liposuction for this area, I just don't know what to do.

Because there is excess fat and excess skin, the best way to get the area looking better is to remove that toissue using a  hidden incision.

I have treated these areas many times with excellent results. Proceed with liposuction first but make sure your surgeon is very experienced. If you're not completely satisfied after 3 months of healing then proceed with skin excision to contour the skin over the new lesser volume.

Breast tissue is very dense and does not come out like fat does with liposuction. To fully get rid of this axillary breast tissue, it would need to be excised. This will leave a scar and sometimes that can be more bothersome to patients then the excess tissue was. The cost varies from PS to PS. If it is indeed breast tissue and not fat it would be best for you to have it excised by direct excision.  If the tissue is mostly fat liposuction will be sufficient.   A full evaluation by a board certified plastic surgeon would be the best solution.

It's not uncommon for women to have some accessory breast tissue in their armpits.This can be removed either by liposuction or buy direct excision.The area often has skin redundancy as well.To have the best contour many patients will do better by having the fat and skin removed.Some patients will opt for having liposuction first with a potential skin excision later if they're not happy with the final results.The scars are generally well concealed but may be partially visible just in front of the armpit depending on how much skin is removed. Sometimes the skin removed will include armpit sweat glands minimizing armpit sweating after the procedure.Much of this has to do with how the procedures designed.while there may be some breast tissue in the armpit it is rare that the tissue is too firm turbine move by liposuction alone. In the great majority of patients I have taking care of the area responds well to liposuction if only fatty tissue needs to be removed.The percentage of firm breasts issue in the armpit is generally quite small.There is a insurance code for the removal of accessory breast tissue and at times it's possible to get insurance authorization for removal of this tissue though there is a high chance of having it denied as a covered benefit as well.This procedure can be done as an in office procedure while awake minimizing costs.$1500-$3000 seems like a reasonable price. Anything more than that would be excessive.Anything less than $1500 would probably be a pretty good deal.This is pretty standard simple surgery that any plastic surgeon should be able to help you with.Best,Mats Hagstrom M.D.

This is a fairly common problem. Unfortunately we have no easy way short of surgically removing the tissue. Liposuction will remove fat, but not breast tissue. And the excision will leave a scar that you may not like.
