The filler will last 9 to 12 months.  Four months is absurd.  Restylane is much more persistent than that.  Enjoy your service.

Normally swelling and bruising will subside within 1-2 weeks.  Lip injections tend to dissolve a little faster than other sites, so you can expect your results to last about 4-6 months, but each patient responds differently so again this is just an estimate.  If you continue to have questions or concerns, I would recommend that you continue icing your lips, wait a week or two for the bruising and swelling to subside and then schedule an in-person consultation with your provider to go over the results from your treatment.

Every individual reacts differently and win most cases it is the persons tendency to bruise and not the injector. You can do things to speed up the healing process. You can take Arnica, which is a natural topical or pill formulation that is supposed to help with swelling and bruising. Also avoid any fish oil tablets and asprine. Bruising should get better over the next few days and be gone by about 7-10 days

Thank you for your question. It is too early to determine what your final results will be. It is common to have some swelling and bruising after lip injections and should resolve in 1-2 weeks. You can apply ice to the treated to help resolve swelling. Filler in the lips can last 6-9 months. If after 2 weeks you are unhappy with your results you can have the filler dissolved with an enzyme known as hyaluronidase. Best of Luck!  

Thanks for your question and the photos – they are helpful.  All of your questions should have been fully explained to you before you had your filler and before you left the injector’s office – was this not the case?  Swelling can last up to two weeks and the bruising should be gone within one week. Everyone responds differently to lip fillers – most will last 6-9 months or more when done by an expert injector, but on occasion less and on occasion more – so no one can predict 100% how long they will last but hopefully in your case you will do just fine for many months.

The bruises and swelling can last up to 10 days. I have heard of bruising up to 2 weeks. your results should last 6 months to 1 year. You don't need to apply ice ow...it does it's work the first day .Enjoy your lips.

The swollen and discoloration of the lips is not unusual after injection of filler.  it should calm down gradually over the next few days and in 10 days you will see the result.  you don't need to apply ice unless there is pain
