I had my bbl on December 12 ,2014 and I am healing fine the only thing that concerns me is one of my lipo suction wounds does not look like it is healing and seems to be very deep . I am not sure how to treat the area and If I should even wear my garment since it does rub on the area.
Answer: Liposuction assisted by a laser or ultrasound has more postoperative problems. I would guess that your liposuction was assisted by a laser or ultrasound. This can create thermal damage and result in protracted wound healing.

Answer: Liposuction / BBL Incisions Liposuction and a BBL are often performed through small stab incisions in the skin. Typically these wounds are either closed with suture or left open to allow drainage of fluid. These incisions are usually small and often heal quickly. Delayed healing can be from repeated trauma and disruption of the closure sire, a local tissue problem as a retained stitch and superficial infection, or an underlying issue such as fat necrosis. A detailed examination will help clarify the situation. Close follow-up with the surgeon is essential.

Answer: Wound Is Not Healing After Liposuction Typically wounds after liposuction heal very quickly and if they don't either they were injured during the procedure or there is an infection. This type of wound appears to have been from frictional or heat generated at the insertion site. It may need to be surgically repaired and sutured close to improve healing or "debrided." I suggest seeing your physician. If there is any pus, smell, pain, or warmth you should see your doctor immediately for an infectious workup. Best, Dr. Emer.

Answer: Wound after liposuction Typically, the incisions made for liposuction are small, just large enough to accommodate the cannulas so they can enter the body. It's hard to tell from your photos if the wound has a central area of scab but if so, just let it heal and you can always have a scar revision (usually a minor room type of procedure) at a later date. If it is oozing pus or tender, you will want to have your operating surgeon take a look at it ASAP. Best wishes for a speedy recovery!
