Answer: Hair loss after forehead reduction Hair loss is possible after any scalp surgery, including hair transplantation. In most cases, if hair loss were to occur, it would be temporary and due to a condition called shock loss. This hair will grow back if due to shock loss. There could be technical errors that lead to hair loss as well, but I have not seen this in my patients. This might be due to inappropriate surgical technique where hair follicles are cauterized or somehow traumatized. There are other risks such as bleeding, bruising, swelling, numbness, infection, etc but these are rarely a problem. Some degree of numbness is to be expected, and will almost always resolve completely over time.Be sure to see a hairline lowering expert. All the best,

Answer: Side affects from a forehead reduction The only common side affect is a scar on the hairline. This is usually fine and with the trichophytic closure, have can grow through the scar. Most scars seem quite good, but scarring can be an individual response. Also, some form wider scars than others.
