My whole life I have been insecure of it and it has held me back from being social and taking pictures. My forehead is huge and don't tell me it isn't. I'm very insecure about it and it holds me back from being the social person I am inside. Please give me some suggestions. Is there a way I can have my forehead sanded down ?

Answer: Forehead lowering options It's hard to accurately assess your hairline with a single photo. Hairline lower is most often performed in women as the frontal hairline is much more predictable and frontal hair loss is far less common. With that said, the hairline in men can often be lowered or shaped with hair transplantation during which hairs from the back of the scalp are removed and implanted at and in front of the frontal hairline. I hope this information is helpful for you.Stephen Weber MD, FACSDenver Facial Plastic Surgeon

Answer: High forehead treatment After reading your question I have two suggestions that are equally important for you. First, any physical appearance issue that you may have should not restrict or hold you back from normal social activities. If they do, it is not as much the "large forehead" but your perception of it and could represent a body dysmorphic disorder. Second there are ways to lower the hairline and make the forehead less prominent. These could include a hairline advancement procedures or even hair transplants. Please consult a qualified facial plastic or plastic surgeon for specific recommendations.
