Answer: Liposuction candidate Dear rhouston713, it is hard to tell for sure without an examination. If you are considering surgery, I would suggest you consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination, you will get more information and recommendations. Answer: Liposuction You are an excellent candidate for liposuction of your flanks/lower back. The lower abdomen requires very thin cannulas and careful liposuction to avoid any lumpiness. Best wishes. Dr. Taranow

Answer: High definition vaser liposuction If you are interested in the "shredded", athletic look then you are a good candidate for vaser liposuction of the abdomen, flanks and lower back. Vaser liposuction is one of the most efficient liposuction techniques for removing that last bit of stubborn fat. The Gold Standard for superior liposuction results requires use of the advanced technology of ultrasound-assisted VASER liposuction. As an official trainer of VASER liposuction, I perform full body liposuction cases every week. VASER liposuction has been the only modality that has consistently resulted in outstanding liposuction outcomes. VASER liposuction ensures a smooth contour regardless of degree of excess fat by virtue of being able to remove any and all remaining fat comprehensively and uniformly. If skin redundancy is observed, Renuvion technology can be simultaneously applied to tighten your skin to optimize your overall contour outcome. A Skype or FaceTime consultation with a VASER specialist will help you get an accurate recommendation and pricing. Respectfully, Arian Mowlavi MD, FACS Realself 100 Hall of Fame Inductee

Answer: Mail Liposuction and the treatment of love handles Male body contouring is a little different than the female form. For both male and female patients I view the torso as a single anatomic unit and try to encourage patient to treat their entire torso in order to leave them with an even natural thing a fat distribution. Treating the entire tour so typically means treating upper abdomen, lower abdomen, love handles, waste, fall back and under arms. For men cheating the under arm area following the outline of the litismus muscle is important for ideal aesthetics. For women including the back is typically equivalently important. Men who have even slight skin laxicity or loss skin elasticity because of either age or a history of weight fluctuations(as little as a 20 pound weight loss can cause skin compromised) May not get the results they’d hope for in the love handles after liposuction. Even slight skin laxi in this area will create a bulge based on how the skin drips especially at the beltline. They are young seems to respond better in women and I believe the primary difference is because men have a small pelvis compared to a large chest while women have a smaller chest with a larger pelvis. I see no reason why you couldn’t have a nice result from Liposuction though I typically personally do not recommend spot treating the torso because it leaves people with an unnatural fat distribution and transition zones that don’t look normal. Simply treating the problem area typically leaves unnatural results. The best analogy I can give you is painting all sides of a house. Normally if you’re painting a house you should paint all the walls or it doesn’t look great. The same is true for doing liposuction on the torso. Even if one area needs it more all areas should be treated in order to maintain and natural thin fat distribution. Delivering consistent high-quality Liposuction results is more difficult than most people believe. I cannot overstayed the importance of finding the most talented and experienced provider in your community. To do that I suggest having multiple in person consultations with local board-certified plastic surgeons who seem to have a knack and enjoy doing Liposuction. During each in person consultation ask each provider to show their entire collection of male torso liposuction before and after pictures. An experienced provider should have no difficulty showing you 30 or more sets of before and after pictures for this procedure. Ask the provider to show examples of outcomes that are ideal, average and less than average. I asked him specifically to show you before and after pictures of patients who are very similar body characteristics to your own. The goal is to see how many of these procedures the provider has done and to get an idea of what average results look like. Seeing the best two or three results representing the very best from their careers work is insufficient to get a clear understanding of what average results look like. Highly experience surgeons will have hundreds to possibly thousands of before and after pictures for the procedure and area of interest. Secondly I recommend reading all the reviews on various physician review website. Avoid providers with any significant number of justified negative reviews. The absence of justified negative reviews is my important and more telling than having an abundance of the positive reviews. Personally I perform all Liposuction procedures with patients a week using local anesthesia with mild sedation. Most plastic surgeons will probably recommend general anesthesia. There are advantages and disadvantages to both but personally I find avoiding general anesthesia is preferred by patients and allows me to do my work better because of the ability to have patients hold different positions throughout the procedure. Good luck in your decision making and possible upcoming procedure. Mats Hagstrom MD
