I'm 5'6 132 lbs small frame and currently have 550cc. No one can tell I have implants and I am have to wear a padded push up bra. Therefore I am thinking of 700cc to 800cc, will they be to big for my body frame
Answer: Increase in size If you already have 550cc going up to 700cc or bigger is not as "huge" of an increase as the volume may elude to.So if you re unhappy I would go to 700-750 cc. That would be a nice increase in size and also give you greater projection and you would be very happy.Your frame, dimensions and size are ok to accommodate the bigger implants of what you have at present appears small to you.

Answer: Going from 550cc to 800cc Hi, thank you for your question. Below is a link to a recent patient of mine. She went from 550cc saline to 800cc high profile silicone. She stands about 5'8". Every frame is different. You can see the size difference. She is super happy with her results, but it is not a look that everyone wants.I hope this helps.- Dr. Bryson Richards

Answer: I'm 5'6, 132lbs, currently have 550cc, want 700cc, will they be to big for my frame? You will find that online consultants will not be able to provide you with specific advice in regards to selection of specific breast implant size/profile. Ultimately, careful communication of your goals will be critical. Generally speaking, the best online advice I can give to ladies who are considering revisionary breast augmentation surgery (regarding breast implant size/profile selection) is: 1. Concentrate on choosing your plastic surgeon carefully. Concentrate on appropriate training, certification, and the ability of the plastic surgeon to achieve the results you are looking for. Ask to see lots of examples of his/her work. 2. Have a full discussion and communication regarding your desired goals with your plastic surgeon. This communication will be critical in determining breast implant size/type/profile will most likely help achieve your goals. In my practice, the use of photographs of “goal” pictures (and breasts that are too big or too small) is very helpful. I have found that the use of words such as “natural” or "C or D cup” or "too big for my frame" etc means different things to different people and therefore prove unhelpful. Also, as you know, cup size varies depending on who makes the bra; therefore, discussing desired cup size may also be inaccurate. 3. Once you feel you have communicated your goals clearly, allow your plastic surgeon to use his/her years of experience/judgment to choose the breast implant size/profile that will best meet your goals. Again, in my practice, this decision is usually made during surgery ( after the use of temporary intraoperative sizers). Viewing the patient's chest wall in the upright and supine positions, with temporary sizes in place, help select the best breast implant size/profile for the specific patient. I hope this, and the attached link (dedicated to larger breast augmentation surgery concerns), helps. Best wishes.

Answer: Is 700cc too big for my frame? Hi, Lilliesky. If you have 550cc implants and having to wear a push-up bra, your body should be able to accommodate 700cc-800cc implants. Choosing an implant size is based on the dimensional planning (based on your body) and your desired look. Please see a board-certified plastic surgeon who could give you more specific recommendation in person. He/she will also review the pros and cos of going larger, alternatives, and potential risks. Good luck!

Answer: 700cc too big? A formal consultation and physical exam is really needed to give you any meaningful advice. Your surgeon will assess your skin, breast size/volume, and chest wall dimensions to determine what may be achievable. Generally speaking, I consider two factors when selecting implants for my patients:1. Dimensional planning2. Gel Implant Sizing systemDimensional planning – The measurements of your chest wall are taken. Also, the breast dimensions including the height, width, and current dimensions of each breast form the basis of dimensional planning. Based on these measurements, the implant size is recommended. This will give you a unique breast implant that is suited for your body frame. However, there are some limitations of what size we can recommend. For instance, some implants may just be too big for a narrow chest wall. Your surgeon can review this with you during the consultation.Gel Implant Sizing system – During the preliminary breast implant consultation, you will be provided with an option to “try on” a variety of implant shapes and sizes. You can also visualize the possible outcomes of your surgery which helps you to get that perfect size to give you the shape that you longed for. This way your preferences are known and you can then pick a range of implants that will “fit” just right to give a soft natural fuller look. Hope this helps.Dr. BasuHouston, TX
