Dear Doctors, I have desired to get a rhinoplasty for years because of how large my nose looks from the front, and especially from 3/4 view. However, I notice most doctors will focus on changing the side profile drastically, which I really happen to like in my nose. I do not like "slopey" turkish-style noses, or extremely thin and straight noses either. I like lines, bumps and natural shapes. I have considered african-american specialists for this reason -- is that a good idea?
Answer: I Recommend Septorhinoplasty | Facial Plastic Surgery | Natural Rhinoplasty Expert | Nose Job | Body Bulbous Tip | Septoplasty Hello and thank you for your question and the pictures. Addressing the shape of the nose is actually one of the most common reasons people seek out and undergo a rhinoplasty. An open septorhinoplasty can best address your nose, and is particularly effective at addressing the size, shape, and definition- from some or all angles! I share your aesthetic goals- I am not a fan of the "Turkish-syle" or other nose trends- I focus on providing beautiful, natural-looking results that perfectly fit your goals and match your other facial features. This truly a surgery of millimeters- and it requires exceptional surgical skill to achieve natural-looking results! Because your nose is the DEFINING feature of your face- I would only recommend seeing a surgeon who specializes in rhinoplasty procedures, and who has significant training and experience performing these surgeries. I actually trained under one of the world leading rhinoplasty experts (who performs 1,000+ nosejobs annually). I recommend for you to setup a formal consultation with me (or another plastic surgeon who is extremely comfortable with rhinoplasties) to thoroughly discuss your surgical goals, undergo a formal examination, evaluate your options, and develop a personalized plan just for you. I hope this helps! Dr. Donald Groves Aesthetic Plastic Surgeon

Answer: Rhinoplasty You seem to be a very good candidate for rhinoplasty. In the hands of an experienced board certified plastic surgeon with expertise in rhinoplasty you can expect quite an improvement. In the process of consultation you can express your desires and esthetic concerns. Most offices where rhinoplasty is frequently performed will have a 3D simulation software which will give you a chance not only to see your projected result but also participate and influence decision making about shape and size of your nose. Hope this helps. Good luck.

Answer: Rhinoplasty The biggest problem with your nose is the cartilage that is visible on the frontal view. Also, on your base view looking up your nose, you have a square tip. You will need a cartilage refinement and you do not need anything done on the dorsum, if you do not want that done. Although you have a small super tip hollow. Best Wishes, Gary Horndeski, M.D.

Answer: Rhinoplasty surgery may be considered for narrowing a wide nasal appearance. Based on your photos, you appear to have a wide bridge and a bulbous nasal tip appearance. Your nostrils appear a bit asymmetrical, and this could be due to a deviated nasal septum. Although I like the angle between the bottom of your nose and upper lip, you appear to have a tension lip deformity that may be repaired at the time of surgery. The best advice would be to visit several reputable rhinoplasty specialists so you can discuss your options. Thank you for this question I hope it's helpful. Sincerely, Dr Joseph

Answer: Rhinoplasty Hi, It is better for you to consult with your facial plastic surgeon who can examine you and give you opinion based on examination. Working in front view to achieve narrower and small nose doesn't mean you will have slopey nose, it is more natural to have straight or slit curve profile.
