What are my options after fat transfer for breast reconstruction ruined my legs?

I have bad collagen apparently. I had to have my implants removed that had been in since my mastectomy and replaced with a FLAP and fat transfer. Im under 120 lbs. we used my legs as a donor site. It didn’t really do much for my breasts and my legs look awful now. Now I have ugly breasts and legs! Is there any hope for this? Dimpled, loose skin. it is mainly inner thigh and about 5 inches above the knee. I have not tried a laser as I did a skin tightening on face w limited results. Help please!

Thank you for your question about your options after fat transfer for breast reconstruction ruined my legs. This is a difficult question without a physical examination or even pictures. Multiple techniques can be used to reconstruct the breast. These can include tissue expanders, breast implants, fat transfer, pedicled flaps, and even free flaps, where a microscope is used to replant tissue. Combinations of the above technique can also be used.
Regarding your thigh, it would be essential for you to provide pictures or seek a physical examination of your thighs. If just fat is removed, it is possible to take fat from other areas of your body, specifically your love handles and abdomen, and transplant it into the thigh. I've had significant success in transferring fat to the thighs on thighs which had been over-suctioned with liposuction. If you have a surgical scar and resection of soft tissue from the thigh, you may need a thigh reduction. This could include from the groin to the area that was removed and beyond to the knee. However, all these maneuvers require a more thorough history and a complete physical examination. Perhaps you could post pictures so we can more accurately answer your questions. Thanks for your question. It is very difficult to comment on your surgical results without seeing pictures, although it sounds to me like you have contour irregularities following liposuction to your thighs. This may be something that can be fixed by either doing a thigh lift procedure, or fat grafting to the thighs. It really depends on the case and what needs to be done. I suggest you seek out a second opinion from a board-certified plastic surgeon. Take care.
