Not happy with how deep crease looks after lower back/thigh lift - appreciate opinions (Photos)

Hi N33,I'm sorry that your scars look like this. Nowadays, it's unusual to find this approach to a thigh lift. This type of procedure was popular at some point, but the scarring created and the inability to hide the incisions when wearing little shorts (as in your picture) or a bathing suit, made this option less popular. I think that a scar revision along with fat grafting may help improve it but unfortunately it cannot be completely corrected. For a better assessment, I recommend an in-person consultation with a board-certified plastic surgeon.

This is a procedure that fell out favor many years ago after its original description and practice. The main reason is because of scarring like this. This is a complicated problem to fix that may require fat grafting and/or scar revision.
