Im in good shape..im petite 5'0..my legs have always been thin and muscular. The inner thigh fat bulge started to be more noticable in my 30s..all the women in our family have thin muscular legs and the same fat area im asking about ive become very self conscience avoiding swimsuits because of this. What can be done to improve tighten this stubborn area?

Thank you for your question regarding what to do with your thighs and how to tighten hereditary inner thigh fat. Thank you for your history and your pictures. There are three ways to resolve this issue. One: liposuction. This will remove fat, and the skin may contract slightly. The problem with liposuction is you may have some residual excess skin. If this bothers you, this may require a thigh lift. This is the second option. The thigh lift incision can be placed high in the groin along the lower portion of the bikini line. This is called a crescent thigh lift. Another option would be to perhaps combine radiofrequency with thigh liposuction. this may help to tighten the inner thigh skin.
In conclusion, I would suggest. First, you start with conservative thigh liposuction. Ideally, you would like the results. If you are dissatisfied with the liposuction results, you will need a thigh lift. Thank you for your question regarding what to do with hereditary inner thigh fat.

Thank you for your inquiry!  Thigh liposuction can help.  But you have to be careful, depending on the laxity of the skin, you may end up with hanging skin.  Thigh Lift would be the other option, liposuction to the inner thighs and removal of the excess skin. Schedule a consult with a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon to help you reach your goals.

Hi Monycee,Based on the photo, I think that you are a good candidate for a combination of liposuction and a thigh lift (groin incision). I think that liposuction alone could leave some degree of saggy skin that could be bothersome. Anyway, an in-person evaluation is necessary to assess the skin laxity and better guide you. Thank you for your question. Upper inner thigh fat is a common complaint. It’s difficult to tell without examining you if this is fat or muscle. Typically there is enough fat in that area to perform liposuction which can decrease the bulk and give a “thigh gap”. The more invasive technique would be surgical excision of the fat, eighth I left. I do not think you are a good candidate for that as the scar burden would far outweigh the benefit. good luck

An in person examination is always best, but based on your photo you may be a candidate for liposuction of the area.  J-Plasma could be added for skin tightening if the skin elasticity is good.  Visit with a board certified plastic surgeon near you to learn more.
