Post hair transplant, my doctor told me to put bacitracin on my scalp. It has become red. Is this going to affect my grafts?

I had a fut hair transplant 3 weeks a go but my doctor tell me to put some bacitracin on my scalp on the 8th day after the surgery after I didi that for 2 days I noticed that my scalp became very red and its been a week after I did that and the red ness is not going away also you think this going to affect my grafts than you

You are leaking fluid?  Is it red (as in blood)?  You need to contact your doctor for an urgent follow up.  Pain is normal.  Leaking is not.

You need an exam and a discussion with your doctor.  Understanding that there is no medication or a cure for genetic androgenic alopecia may help you and your doctor come up with a good plan.  Eventually you have to accept that your genetic trait will win.

You can visit each doctor's websites for their before/after photos and see for yourself.  No doctor will answer you and say, we had horrible results.The best advice is make an appointment with several doctors and get different opinions (in person).

Thank you for the photos. This is an unusual request.  However, it can be done.  Orientation is critical to ensure a natural result.  It is possible you have some traction loss from pony tails if you wear your hair up daily.  Sometimes, the hair will com back if you reduce traction.
