this is a common complaint after your surgery. The back pain is probably caused from both muscle spasm, from bending over, and the liposuction in that area, which can be very painful. Ibuprofen is often an excellent medication for this type of pain. It is usually helpful to take this medication at the appropriate dose around the clock, especially during the transition when you are starting to stand straight up.

Low back pain is a frequent complaint after a tummy tuck. It is usually from being bent over, sleeping flat on your back and from the muscle tightening. Check with your surgeon, but non-steroidal medications will usually help with this. The pain will improve with time as you begin to stand straighter.

Low back pain is very common following a tummy tuck.  Because of the muscle tightening and the stooped posture in the first days following surgery, there is tremendous strain on those back muscles.  Hence the low back pain.  A binder/compressive garment will help some.  Muscle relaxers will aslo help.  Time will take care of the rest.  As you are able to stand straight, that pain producing strain will subside.  Good luck.
